do you need any special type of cable (just ordered a memory boy deluxe!) - or just 1/8" to 1/4" mono?
it mentions expression pedals with "tip/ring/sleeve", that's all
from the manual:
"EXP. PEDAL Jack – Allows the musician to control any of the four available expression modes with an optional expression pedal or control voltage. The expression pedal should have a Tip- Ring-Sleeve plug attached to it. It is important that the expression pedal have the correct polarity. The tip of the plug must be connected to the wiper of the potentiometer inside the expression pedal. If you are not sure what type of expression pedal to use, try to purchase one with a polarity switch so that it will work with many different types of instruments. Some suggested Expression Pedals: M-Audio EX-P, Moog EP-2, Roland EV-5 or Boss FV-500L. You may also connect a control voltage to this jack. The Control Voltage range must be 0 V to 5 V." _________________ WTB: Focusrite Octopre/ Saffire PRO40, Rubicon/Dixie, modcan dual delay

I just realized last night: My Boss DD-7 is perfectly CV'able. You can either use 'tap tempo' (use a CV-switch to connect the sleeve & tip of the 'tempo/exp'-in) OR give it a direct CV in.
I love this pedal!

I wonder how hard is it in general to find LFO voltages on the board, and maybe make outputs for them on pedals? Maybe with an oscilloscope or DC coupled audio input and computer search for them?
This would make for some cheap extra oscillators, envelope followers etc since the pedals are in the studio already anwyay... _________________ http://aavepyora.net

sweet! i reckon that might be next on the list, as you can control more interesting stuff than on most of them (with the deluxe version, that is...) |
+1 i've got one and i really satisfied about the Cv control , i use mine almost in every patch, i modulate it with CV coming from my Es-1 or sometimes from the uLFO _________________ FS (EU) A-187-1 DSP

sweet! just got it delivered today....and what do i do? spend all night playing around with a cheapo Rocktek ADR-02 Bucket Brigade Delay Pedal that one of my students is trying to sell me for £10
i quite like it actually
here's a little loop using it with the modular. it's in a feedback loop setup via a Manhattan Audio mixer, with the wet signal being undulated via a VCA and the RS110 lowpass before being fed back into itself. a bit of manual tweaking here and there....
have adjusted the trimpots inside to give it the maximum delay time i can get out of it, and the most self-oscillation. it uses the same BBD chip as the 2048 Doepfer a188-1
gotta be worth £10 - what do YOU reckon?
this isn't meant to be a proper track by the way - just a little idea i came up with while playing with it.....will probably develop it though, as i quite like the vibe of it

| I send my Moog ring modulators LFO out to a Boss AW-3(formant sweeps!). I have to plug in the cable only halfway to get it to work... |

Is the direct in on the DD-7 as simple as plugging a standard jack in?
Thanks -HL _________________

The pigtronix keymaster has CV control of it's mix. Could be super useful for integrating non-modular signals with the modular along with the general craziness.

From the OP:

Ensoniq DP4 - actually has a "cv pedal" input
Ensoniq DP2 - ditto
Zoom - can't remember models (tiB knows it), but there is at least one that will do this
EHX Memory Boy- has an expression input - says in the manual that you can send control voltages into it (between 0 and 5v). only controls delay time and modulation
EHX Memory Boy Deluxe- as above, but lets you choose from mod rate, feedback, depth and delay time
Line6 DL4 - has an expression pedal input. will this take CVs? - i really hope so!
Zoom 9010 - has a CV input
Eventide rack units

| yea I've read that part. I guess i was trying to ask the specifics, like voltage it accepts, if you could damage it by cv, or maybe just some audio or video |
