Just trying out a simple sequencer patch on my Buchla this afternoon.
Patch features a 259 and "retro 158" into a 111 Ring Modulator. 165 provides random timbre and pitch modulations. Reverb is from the 190.
I was curious about the 259 audio level... would it be too hot? No it worked great - as I attenuated via 106 mixer.
At about 3:50 into the vid.... the patch just started grooving!

Very cool. I'm curious how you achieved the pulse variations in the sequence. It appears to be a switch on the sequencer panel, could you explain this? _________________ Wiard Love | Sounds | Laser Palace | Voltage Controlled Tumblr |

Two "pulse variations" were happening:
1 - the 165 Random Voltage Source was patched into the 140 Pulser... affecting "pulse length" - which would give a nice variation to the 180 Attack Generator EG's.
2- the 123 Sequencer was set for 5 stages - the 1st row output was patched to the 140 Pulser "external Period" = cv controlled tempo. The external CV into the pulser clock is REALLY extreme - so much that you can dial in a sort of "stage skip"
3 - final bit of timing play was a trick of the ear, as the 2nd row of the 123 Sequencer was controlling the Gate/VCA... so for most of the video, you are only hear a few of the 5 stages... untila around 3:40, as I turn up the volume of the quiet stages.
Cheers !!

Thanks for the breakdown! I never looked at the Pulser before, it's such an incredible module. I just watched your other demonstration of it. It would make a perfect Wiard 300 module (wishful thinking). Incredible work. _________________ Wiard Love | Sounds | Laser Palace | Voltage Controlled Tumblr |
