So I'm just getting started using Pure Data. I looked at a few patches that I really want to recreate most notably those involving graphic notation using data structures. I looked at these two examples for inspiration:

1. http://at.or.at/hans/solitude/

2.

Does anyone else know of some good tutorials or patches that would allow me to implement my own sound samples and manipulate them using those wonderful colorful shapes?

pure data is awesome! im programming a polyrhythmical cv sequencer at the moment that just smokes ... the best tutorial i could find is this one. there is also a very good chapter on the open gl graphics interface gEM:

maybe we should start a pure data thread? im shure there are more users around here ...

I'm an enthusiastic PureData user as well. I've made guitar effects and a simple looper and a few other things. Haven't played with graphical scores though.

I would love to see more PureData topics around here!

As an aside, sigmund~ is an amazing pitch/amplitude follower! Give it a try!

i just cant find any forum that seems to be active for pd. if i cant figure something out i mean ... for example scripting would be really neat and there is a java extension pdj. but i cannot get it to run and nobody answers any questions on the english forum.

This forum should be active but it's been a couple months since I posted a question there. http://puredata.hurleur.com/

Also the IRC channel is active. Just recently I mentioned a bug there and one of the contributors fixed it the same day (MIDI clock bug).

You can feel free and PM me questions here too! I've dug pretty deep in a number of PureData topics, most recently I've been trying to play with some physical modeling which doesn't have a lot of documentation.

I have used Lua for scripting (it's built into 0.43 and I think Python support is too).
