Good point! Every time I place orders, I up the amount of spares from the last order, thinking "this'll be enough! hahaha"...
... never is...

Update: the 291 panels have shipped from the manufacturer, and are on their way to me. I'll start shipping these out next week to those of you who have ordered 291 panels and nothing else, or ordered them along with panels that I already have on hand.
Just for the record, panels that are still being manufactured include the J3RK Faders, Ian Fritz Chaos, and Thomas White LPGs, and I expect to receive all of these in the next 2-3 weeks. That has me shipping out the last of this run around the middle of June...I'm not thrilled about that being almost a solid month later than I originally stated, but wanted to let everyone know that at least there is progress! _________________ DIY Euro synth panels: Synthcube in the US | Thonk in the UK

Awesome Clarke.
I am officially stoked about this.
I'd really like to get detailed info on the knobs if you have time.
Sizes , part numbers , where they are available.
I'll probably be asking the same question about the Ian Fritz Jerkster , Mutant (if it ever eventuates) and the Serge Res EQ.
Is there a thread ?
PS
Actually , i need to get brackets for the PCB's as well _________________ http://soundcloud.com/cleaninglady

All the knobs I use come from Jameco. They're good quality knobs for the money, but you can use anything you like as long as you get pretty close to the same size:
small - .54" dia., part # 136241
medium - .78" dia., part # 264990
large - 1.29" dia., part # 264946 (on Single 291 only)
I'm using 3/16" (width) standoffs, 4-40 screws & threaded angle brackets to mount the PCB to the panel. _________________ DIY Euro synth panels: Synthcube in the US | Thonk in the UK

Damn, those look nice... well done Clarke! I almost wish I had gotten a couple more boards so I could do a dual as well as my two singles...
By sheer coincidence I just ordered a bag of those PCB brackets, they turned up today!
Cheers

Wow, that was fast, just rec'd my panels. They look stunning!
Very glad I went with singles, the dual build looks a bit overwhelming for me.
THANKS CLARKE! |

Where can I find out more info on this module and get an idea of how it sounds? I know the group buy is over, but maybe there will be another one in the future and I'd like to stay informed. |

Whoopee
I most definitely am up for some of these boards, so stupidly missed out last time. _________________ Sound Design Packs available from me at www.lonetreemusic.com |

I hope I haven't missed the boat here (just starting out in the world of 3U)... I'm interested in one single 291 panel, and also a Thomas White LPG panel if you still have any of these left. PM on its way... _________________ My music here |

In the thead for it over at Electro-Music, Scott Stites said this about the 291:
| Quote: | | people, the 291 is the very schnitz - it rocks on so many levels, I just can't begin to describe. It's the evil cousin of the LPG...this is one filter that sounds like no other, can be sublime, funky, weird, twangy, thwippy or so agressive it'll feed you one of your balls for breakfast and make you happy to ask for seconds. If you want your synth to leap where very few other synths have lept, build this filter. Whether it's just the stock original or has the little extras I threw in it, build it....you'll not be sorry you did. Even if you do wind up missing a testicle here or there..... |

I'm currently sold out of this panel, and I believe J3RK is sold out of the PCB at the moment as well. Best thing to do is to bug J3RK about doing another run of PCBs, then leave a note for me in this thread...I'm currently checking interest for possible re-runs of all my old panels. _________________ DIY Euro synth panels: Synthcube in the US | Thonk in the UK
