This series of videos is really inspiring. Though I am so far off from affording this actual module. Anyone know of any good VST Oscillators Harmonic or not? I currently use AALTO (amazing)...

cscairney, would you be so kind as to rephrase your thread title in order to accurately reflect the fact that you are looking for a soft-synth that approximates the feature-set of the 262V? It's confusing as it stands.

Thanks,

Kent

I've done some in my synthesis pack, one spectra (32 harmonics) and one additive :

In Audiomulch, the 10Harmonics module does a similar thing with sinusoids.

In terms of VST, you could use a Chebyshev polynomial waveshaper on a test tone/simple oscillator to get similar results.

You could try Christian Budde's Christortion (Windows only):

http://www.savioursofsoul.de/Christian/vst-plugins/#Christortion

Or Soundhack's +chebyshev:

http://www.soundhack.com/freeware/

Or Airwindows' Pafnuty (OSX AU only)
http://www.airwindows.com/pafnuty.html

I'd guess there are bits and pieces around for Max, Csound, or pd that would have similar implementations.

I've been using CV to audio from Five12 Numerolgy with a DC blocker plugin for similar sounds

Gah, I'll just do it myself at this point.

Sorry Kent,
I was away. I'll be more careful about it in the future so we can keep things a little more tidy.

Very cool bit about Audiomulch. I had forgotten about that program like 10 years ago! Thanks man, I'll give it a try.

On a side note: Has anyone given a listen to Squarepusher's "Vacuum Tracks"? I'm very pleased with what he's done and would like to hear some more opinions or any information regarding Squarepusher's intentions/process.

by "CV to Audio"

do you mean that you are getting audio signals from CV sources?
