A sad day. Marshall are my favourite guitar amps.

Very sad day indeed.

Rock and Metal would never have sounded so good were it not for Jim.

Terrible, terrible news. woah

My dad's a guitarist, and years ago an ex-girlfriend of mine met Jim at a trade show, and brought my Dad back a signed poster, "To Chris, best wishes, Jim Marshall". My Dad had it framed and it still hangs on the wall in their hallway. I'll definitely lift a glass to it the next time I'm in England!

RIP Jim...

That's one of the coolest things about him I think. Every single year, he was at MusicLive signing stuff. The biggest crowd was always at the Marshall stand, with rows and rows of people clutching posters, pickguards or other random stuff for him to sign. He always seemed to be sat there with a big smile on his face, happy to meet people who hold him in such high regard.

Damn, what a bummer. One of my biggest regrets was selling a JMP 50 clone that i built. It had an Emperor Cabs head cab, fuck that was a beautiful amp...

RIP
