Now taking orders for Euro panels for J3RK's Crossfader PCBs.

Panels come in two sizes, 4HP and 8HP. Both can operate as a crossfader or a panner, see J3RK's post below for details. Note there has been a recent change to the 4HP panel. I designed these panels with the 9mm Alpha pots in mind. Others may work, but measurements have not been verified.

Pricing is as follows:

4HP is $15
8HP panel is $20

Shipping Info
Shipping rates are per order, for any number of panels (up to a point...very large orders may require a larger box/more $$$, I'll let you know):

U.S. - $5.35
Canada/Mexico - $12.95
All other countries - $16.95

These rates are for USPS Priority, which does not include tracking on international shipments. I've had a few cases where international customers have had delays receiving their panels, and the lack of tracking has been frustrating. If you would like registered mail, tracking, or insurance let me know when you place your order and I'll get back to you with a price.

Order Info
To order, send the following to me either by PM or email at clarke at muffwiggler dot com:

Quote:
I'm ordering [x] pieces of the (4HP/8HP) J3RK Fader panel for $xx, plus shipping, for a total of $xx.

I'm aware that I may have to pay additional amounts of customs and tax in my country.

I'm also aware that I'm only buying screened and drilled panel that may help me building an electronic module - I'm *not* buying a diy kit, not a "project" - just a screened/drilled panel. I know how to build electronic circuits and I am trained in electrical safety matters. The seller of these panels will not be held responsible for any damage that results from these panels, directly or indirectly.

My shipping address is

xxxxx

My PayPal address is xxxx@xxxx.com
My Forumname is xxxxxx

Also let me know if you'd like to add any other panels to your order, or if you want to combine shipping with an order you've already placed.

When I get your order, I will reply with a Paypal invoice, due May 4, 2012. I'll shoot to have the panel order placed on April 20, 2012 (this will have panels shipping out to you mid- to late May), but the date can move either direction if it makes sense.

Two new panels:

Turns out J3RK's Crossfader PCB works as a Panner with a slight change to the build, so I designed a panel to suit:

Panner

There's a couple of tweaks I'd like to make (I'd actually like to bump it up to 6HP) but let me know if you have any thoughts.

Modular DJ Crossfader

I don't expect there will be enough interest to run this (would be great if there was, I could use this thing), but I thought I'd show it off anyway. It's wide enough that the PCB will mount parallel to the panel, so it's skiff friendly (16HP). I designed it for a 45mm slide pot, but right now I don't know of any that are "loose" like a regular DJ crossfader. If you know of one, please post...along with any other suggestions.

Is there any way that a two-input, two-output 4HP panel would be possible (maybe replace the inverted mix out with VCA1 & 2 out)? I think it would be sweet to have a 4HP combo module (panner/xfader).

I also like the parallel-mount skiff-friendly version with a slider. I don't mind the graffiti, and there's something fun about the slider.

i love the dj style, personally i don't know if id do it though as the hp is a bit much for me for a crossfader. although maybe adding a panner to it would make it easier to handle the hp usage. that would take 2 pcbs though i assume. i really like it though. great idea. I'm down for 1 of the 4hp panners and 1 4hp crossfader.

Can the 8HP function as both a fader and panner, or does the circuit board require too many tweaks to pull double-duty? Maybe J3RK can chime in with some more info. If it can do both with only changes to the I/O structure that may determine whether I go with 4HP or 8HP.

It can really do both, but I would personally want one for each. Maybe 4HP and 4HP.

You'd need the 8HP panel to do both, because you need the individual VCA outs. Basically, you either need to normal (per others' suggestions) input one and input 2, or just cable it (if you have stackable or bananas,) and take the individual VCA outs for left and right. Pretty simple really, but the way I use the crossfader, it would be nice to have it dedicated. (that way you can crossfade filter responses or waveforms, or audio sources, while panning the signal at or near the output. It's all down to personal taste and necessity really.

If I'm understanding correctly then, the 8HP can both pan and fade. In that case I'd be interested in one of each panel: 1x4HP panner, 1x4HP crossfader, & 1x8HP crossfader.

Update: quotes are in, and my pricing guesstimates will hold...$15 for the 4HP panel, and $20 for the 8HP. Right now, there is enough interest to do the 8HP run, but not enough for the 4HP. That may not matter...orders have exceeded interest on every panel run I've done so far, but I'm considering the following things:

1. Going ahead and taking orders for the 4HP panel anyway, but people should know that if it doesn't pan out, you'll either need to change your order or get a refund.

2. Changing the 4HP panel to this, which has the same "It's a fader! It's also a panner!" functionality as the 8HP version:

I'm hoping this won't cannibalize too much interest from the 8HP panel. I'd appreciate a few quick thoughts about this new 4HP panel, particularly if it will change your order.

Thanks! I'd like to open this up to orders today...I'm shooting to have everything in this current crop of panels (see my sig) ready to ship mid-late May.

The new 4hp looks great so i'll take one of each instead of two 8hp.
