Alright they are ready to roll out.
R51, R52, R53, and R54 now available in dotcom format.
Other companion modules are in the works to keep them company
R54 has additional CV dubbed "the VCA mod" that controls the overdrive and output level. Sounds really cool when the R54 is used as an oscillator then the VCA CV is modulated, almost like PWM.
Ships with 4 pin MOTM to MOTM cable or MOTM to dotcom cable.
4 pin MOTM connector is on the module.
Runs on +15.
3 different choices:
1/4" jack only = $450
1/4" and 1/8" = $500
1/4" 1/8" and banana = $550
The jacks are connected together so if you are mixing and matching inbetween 1/8" 1/4" and banana you can do so without an adapter panel or cable.
This also gives you additional outputs. No need for a mult to make feedback loops.
Synthesizers.com modules fit next to the 5U metasonix just fine,
I'm not sure about other modules from other manufacturers that mount their PCB's on the side of the panel, space is tight and those probably wont fit next the Metasonix.
If you have a wood case that shouldn't be a problem as you can drill holes where you need them and slide modules around to fit.
Here is a Q118 happily sitting in between a 52 and 51:
Order time is 4 weeks as the panels are ordered on demand, although I do currently have a few dual jack 1/4" 1/8" panels in stock.
Available exclusively through Zerosum Inertia
(I better build some webpages )
More sights, sounds and demos coming, give me some time.
These videos are just quick "wish you were here" postcards to give you a rough idea of what these are capable of.
The R54 as an oscillator is capable of some beautiful soft sounds in addition to being a nice crunchy bandpass filter.
Any other questions, feel free to get in touch. _________________ |zerosuminertia.com|

Here is the easiest way I have found to house and power all this:
Search on ebay or other electronic supply stores and buy a Power-One supply that provides atleast 3 amps.
Wire it up to a distro board like this supercool Mondo Power Pusher from STG Soundlabs.
Then get some QCR8 rack frames and mount them in your rack of choice.
I like to use the EWI Tourcases
If you are patching into other systems that use banana jacks, you will need to have a common ground that can connect to each power supply.
Here is what I did:
Soldered a wire from an unused ground on the distro board to a banana jack.
I then attached that banana jack to a 19" rack panel, this way I have it accessible on the front panel.
That's it! _________________ |zerosuminertia.com

So here is my goofy attempt at demonstrating the R54 as an oscillator, as a filter, and as a VCA(like effect)
I got some other things distracting me at the moment, but I'll try to get some more detailed instructional videos made in due time.
Check out my beautiful 1U 19" Zerosum Inertia panel at the bottom of my rack, it was made for me by Steven at Pro-Modular! _________________ |zerosuminertia.com

Yes, he's making these 5U modules with my full assistance.
I approve this message. Now buy something. _________________ Metasonix

And it is not the design, it is because of this: | Quote: | | additional CV dubbed "the VCA mod" that controls the overdrive and output level. |

Indeed - any chance older R-54's could be modded to add the VCA? |

just received and tested my 5U R-54 with mini-jacks & 6.35 on-board and i must say it is a very nice module i cant wait to make it hot !!!!
and a big shout out for the support from zerosum wich was the fastest and most helpfull dealer i had to deal with in the modular world ...
great module, great service !! on top
( and i have no connection or whatever with this guy/brand )
bigups !!! _________________ _______________________________

and i must add
i have a 44 dotcom cabinet full of 5u modules and on top of it a 22 fracrack system
in my knowledge, these are the first modules to offer both type of connectors on-board and this is such a relief from using adapters or finding the rigth cable to go from one system to the other
i played all afternoon with it and this idea is just a panacea !!!
i cant believe nobody propose this, the price difference is really worth the ergonomics it allows
bravo ! _________________ _______________________________

Here's my 5U Metasonix. Thank you to Zerosum for providing some of the best customer service ever!
Still need to get the PSU hooked up to make some noise, but that's under way.
The case is from transitcase.fi, about the same size as the 12U EWI case mentioned elsewhere. |

MK 1 Metasonix dotcom/MU modules are discontinued.
I'm done.
I will be redesigning them and they will be back, but not in the same design as they are now.
This whole idea was stupid, it's done and I'm moving on.
I have other 5U modules to focus on, keep your eye on the 5U section, that is where they will be posted. _________________ |zerosuminertia.com
