I'm a bit of a n00b so forgive me if this is well-travelled territory... I'm thinking about getting a Monorocket Mission 9a from a fellow wiggler but since it's got the original PSU (only rated at 1 amp, apparently) I will need to upgrade the power supply at some point since I've got some hungry modules. I know I could get a uZeus (or something similar) to make up the difference but I'm curious about the difficulty of just upgrading the entire power supply instead.
Mostly this is because I like the idea of getting a switching power supply so I can take the modular overseas without worrying about a cheap transformer causing me problems or possibly even resulting in soem damage.
Since I'm pretty clueless about DIY power supplies I have no idea if it would be more trouble and expense than it's worth to try to do this. Thanks in advance for your input.... |
