I stumbled upon Autosampler while trying to find an easy way to sample hardware synths for live performances. Since there is no demo I was hoping some users could post their likes/dislikes about it. I'll mainly use it to create Kontakt and EXS24 patches (but wouldn't mind something that could create patches for hardware too ie. like the blofeld). I have questions like, is it as easy as they say it is? Does the auto loop work well for pads and drones? Any annoying bugs? Does it work for hardware samplers?

it works great. i've had it for years. never failed. i haven't come across any bugs in every day use. it's quite straight forward to use especially with hardware. it's great for sampling the modular. i use it to archive sounds when i come across something while patching.

the forum at OSXaudio.com has a redmattica section with lot's of discussion.

Great program , dead easy to use , the looping works better than most . And Redmatica (Andrea) is very responsive . U could check out the forums at Redmatica and get a better picture of more users' experiences.

Works great. Simple to use. Support is great. and that quartz interface is pretty.

I have autosampler and manager, works awesome, but I've only used it to make Kontakt patches. Not sure if it spits out any hardware sample set formats, maybe MPC? seriously, i just don't get it

I haven't needed to use it for many years, but I used to use it to create multi-sampled collections for the Computer Music cover discs. I couldn't have gotten through the vast numbers of samples required (thousands per issue) without it. There are a few others out there, but I preferred Autosampler for its ease of use.

Well it sounds like it does what it says it does. I might just have to give it a try then.
