Handwiring the VCO and normalization

Hi everyone,

Tony has included a great guide on how to manually wire the VCO, but I didn't quite get it how to do normalization on 1V/Oct.

I'm guessing I need to connect the NC lug of 1V/Oct socket to the pin number 1 on the buss header. Do I still need to connect the NC lug to LINK pin 7 on the PCB?

You need to connect the NC lug of the 1V/octave socket to pin 1 buss header on your Dizzy board. This is what I used to call the tail and older Oakley modules would have this little three way MTA socket dangling on one wire from the module.

No. The 1V/octave NC lug should only go to the CV buss. Connecting it to pin 7 as well will short it out to ground.

Thanks, Tony.

I had a hunch that I should not connect the NC lug to the LINK pin 7 but I was only 99% sure about.

Your answer provided me that missing 1%. applause
