To be fair I don't really believe in the whole quality sequencing game but still I fantasize that Tony Make Noise is Tesla to Danjel Intellijel's is Edison. We get to be the people who benefit from their race to innovate.

*Doepfer gets to be maybe Georg Ohm or something like that.

Who'd Marconi? Harvestman somehow seems right.[/img]

Hopefully this doesn't bum either of them out, I can't be the only person who imagines this...

No one wins, but everyone wins.

There are 76 manufacturers in the database. Isn't that cool?

I would be hesitant to compare anyone I respected to Edison.

That said I totally see the Tony/Tesla analogy.

Are you trying to say that Danjel steals most of his good ideas, promotes inferior technology, only cares about money and goes around killing animals with Make Noise modules?

It really is quite an insult to compare any inventor to Edison, the man was a total charlatan.

This comparison is irrelevant. Euro rack is such a flexible and evolving platform. It doesn't matter who is king of the hill right now. It will be someone else a couple of years from now.

Edit: Edison without all the things everyone loves to hate about him.

I should have known everyone would take Edison as an insult. Still Edison was not so bad, yes Tesla has a lot of romantic appeal compared to Edison but give Tommy a break he got some pretty sweet stuff done. A New Jersey HQ is always a good thing. I was more into the yin yang as far as vibe, one more out there one more "functional" both sweet as hell.

Obviously there are so many manufacturers, all who deserve props but this week with Intellejel's landslide of great new stuff and the spazz out level of lust DPO and Echophone are getting it seemed funny. waah I just wanted you guys to think I was clever for a sec.

I hope neither of them Kill and Elephant or fall deeply in love with a pigeon.

Comparing an engineer to Edison is the equivalent of comparing a
politician to Hitler.

A: those aren't the only two "geniuses". For sure Cwejman is
breaking new ground and I respect a ton of designers. Metasonix
has put out some designs I haven't seen before. Synchrodyne
and Cyclebox are darn unique. Etc, etc.

B: who wins is US, the users... and perhaps the listeners.

overall, while I imagine it was posted in good fun, I find the topic
to grazing the realm of bad taste and potentially insulting.
