Electric Bill?

Post by Squibbons » Tue Feb 05, 2008 11:09 am

Has anyone noticed a gradual increase on your electric bill with the more modules you purchase? I'm wondering how much of a difference it makes when you have a wall of modules vs just a handful. I'm watching my bills closely this year to see what effects my modules will have on my bill.

There's too much other electrical stuff in my house to really tell on a per-module basis, but I have definitely noticed a higher electric bill since getting the modular.

I have almost everything in the studio going to down to one power strip (not for noise/conditioning reasons...simply so I can turn everything on in one go) and I try to make sure to turn everything off if I know I'm not going to be using it for more than an hour.

I do know that I can see a marked increase in the weeks where I have played more guitar. I'm starting to think it might be worth investing in a smaller amp...my only amp is a Boogie Triple Rec and it's not being turned up loud, but it still draws plenty of power...much more than necessary.
