Not sure what I'm listening for - it sounds good to me.

i hear the squeaky sound. i don't see how the envelopes could be the problem. maybe it is the filter? because along with the squeaks it is very noisy. i don't own any doepfer but nothing in my modular is that noisy. i do have the 4mx and it is the cleanest of all my vcas.

It only happens when I use the envelopes. When I trigger external envelopes it's perfect.

Are you using the full range of the envelopes, or are you scaling them back in the software? If the latter, try putting them back up to full range in the plug-in and then attenuating them externally, if required.

the only change is swapping A142 decay and voice controller envelope one in A108 cv2 @ 50% middle section is the SW VC envelopes.

Really? You're saying that if you trigger the env with the transport stopped it sounds different than when the transport is playing?

ok. still no resolution:

I;

swithced cables from audio interface

switched resolution from 44.1 to 96 k

switched from snow leopard to lion

switched from live to logic to live again

upgraded to 2.0

switched to every port on the ES4

turned every output off and tried one at a time with just env out.

tried above with all three envelopes

just used lfo

this renders the software unusable for me. even as a simple trigger generator doesn't work as well as a midi cv as the gates don't fire every time. I am asking for help.

If this is a hardware problem how would i get it fixed?

If this is the way it is is there a way to transfer my SW license?

thank you for your time.

Andrew

dont have an es-4, but is it possible that maybe some unused but activated voicecontrollerchannels are adding cv to the envelope?

Have you tried a different audio interface? That would be my first step.

Also, what interface are you currently using? Laptop or desktop computer?

the fact that nobody else has reported the problems you are experiencing points to something in your setup causing the problem.
