Is the record function VC? Can you put in record using i.e. a step from a clock divider? |
It's VC but it's not switching - i.e. it records while the gate is high. |
Whoops, this is incorrect. Here's a quote from the manual:
| makenoise wrote: | | Starting with a Cleared Memory, pressing the RECord Button (16) once (or sending a single Pulse to RECord Pulse IN, 15) starts the recording process, and pressing RECord Button again (or sending a second, single Pulse to RECord Pulse IN) stops the recording process. |

So in that way, the recording can go on and off automatically and erase itself when memory is full? _________________ http://overvarning.bandcamp.com/ |

I need to buy this module and try out all this, as I can immagine you can record, slice and shuffle all in real time while a beat is playing... or not? Something like a granular delay, I can't understand now which are the differences with the Echophon delay section, need to buy both to understand now.... (maybe obviously is the Echophon delay a more classic delay?) _________________ WTB: TTA HEK + uZEUS, black version - Doepfer A-199 |

Yup. But that's worth to try to steal him few minutes... Maybe could be a bug or maybe he will tell you "I don't know what tha hell is going on with your phonogene"
When you are in that situation of sticky rec what happens if you push the rec button? Does it stop recording? _________________ http://soundcloud.com/tommaso-3

I quote myself, so what about the vid I linked above? It looks like that Phonogene act as a delay recording again and again... I don't have a Phonogene but I'll buy one for sure if it work as a kind of mad evil delay.. _________________ WTB: TTA HEK + uZEUS, black version - Doepfer A-199 |

Of course you can get some weird delay behavior from phonogene and yes recording is vc but the strange thing here is this particular phonogene that stay in endless recording mode without any cvs.. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/tommaso-3 |

In this video hes using the record pulse in to control the recording function with a gate or a trigger.
Check the manual for the regenerative record patch.
What the OP encounters, on the other hand, is a record button LED (thus the record function as well) that stays on forever.
This isn't working as intended apparently, but results in a nice feature... which I want to be able to use as well. *grumble _________________

I'm really not expert but is it possible RAM may suffer in this case? _________________ http://soundcloud.com/tommaso-3 |
