CGS Lockhart Wave Folder adapted for Guitar

Post by Chrome Dinette » Sun Aug 30, 2009 10:46 am

I was looking for synth circuits I could try with guitar and this one looked easy to build. I added a blend pot between the triangle and square wave outputs and an output level pot after that.

I stuck a preamp in front of it made with two jfets. It's the textbook mu amp circuit, similar to the Orman mini-boost and, I suppose, the Fulltone Fatboost.

The biggest pain in the ass was making room for the bipolar supply(I am using a 24vac wall wart and ending up with +/- 12vdc).

Nice. I have the Metalbox version and it is the shiznit. The blend knob is a great idea. I find the square, on its own, a bit too much.
