Any recommendations? Built a dual MXR+ but seems to clip pretty badly on lower notes from my TM3030's, played with cap values and diodes, sounds ok sometimes, really like the sound from the Overdrive II mind but want something simple with just volume/distortion controls.....Any ideas (and or schematics) will be appreciated.

cheers

Not kidding. Well worth a try. You couldn't build it for less.

Place an equalizer before it and attenuate the low notes a bit. That's a trick guitarists are using all the time.

I would recommend a 10 band MXR equalizer for that. You can find the schematics here:

I was lazy and bought the real thing. wink

Thanks for that, although I have not had good experience with Behringer gear in the past, a mic pre amp and FX unit decided to just not work and die......Although my DCX 2496 is still working after 2 years.....
Thanks again..........

Cheers for the info, you gave me an idea for the MXR+, and those schematics, I been looking for an eq for something else i'm working on, either one would work perfectly............Nice one.
