Author [IN STOCK] DTM: Moog CP3-type discrete mixer PCB, Euro panel

Having worked with this circuit block as part of my upcoming VCF and remembering this recent thread we had about it, I thought there might be some interest in a standalone PCB for the Moog CP3 mixer. I've just finished building a prototype and everything works, so unlike most of my projects this one is already all set to go.

The PCBs are 1.5" x 3" - virtually identical in size to the CVP. Like the CVP this one includes 2 holes for mounting on standoffs as well as a split Euro/MOTM power footprint. It will run on 12 or 15v supplies as it includes an onboard regulator for both the +12v and -6v rails. It's therefore suitable for use in any format.

TRIMMING
1) For use with +/-12V supplies, jumper pins 1 and 3 of the 78L12 and omit the adjacent cap.
2) Adjust the 2k trimpot until the output of the LM337 is -6.0V.
3) Adjust the 100R trimpot until the output has no DC offset with the output knob at 12:00.

woodster
I'd take one.
Is there a big difference between this and the MA Mix ?
woodster
double dip d'oh!
bernd.wender
I'd be interested in the PCB only. Anybody interested in building an MOTM panel for this little guy?

In function, no. Pretty much the same thing.

In execution, yes, very different. This is a discrete transistor circuit known for its interesting clipping behavior where the mix is an opamp-based circuit with an emphasis on a clean, transparent audio path.
Cheradenine
Would be a nice change from opamp-based mixer !
So I'm interested for at least 4 PCBs, maybe more depending on final price.
Cheradenine
meh
Joe.
I'd like 1.
woodster
Many thanks for the info negativspace.
I'll take two!
Have your Mix module and use it all the time, having a mixer with some character in the same size panel would be cool.
woodster
very frustrating
Duplicate post again.

Any new news on the SVF ?
steffensen
1 PCB & 1 Panel thanks. smile
negativspace
Yeah, bad night for double posts I guess.

SVF is coming along, but I have some building to do so it's on the back burner for a couple of weeks. Aiming for a finished prototype by the end of next month. thumbs up
regenbot
i'll take one set thumbs up
nikmis
I would like two PCBs but no panels, please. I was just going to perf-board a transistor mixer, but I am very lazy.
kbo
One set please ! SlayerBadger!
hexinverter
Two for me! (panels and PCBs)
rosch
i'll take 2 (pcbs and panels)
Monobass
1 set for me please.
logicgate
This is like the STG mix?

This would be a nice companion for the Minimoog filter clone!

I'm in for four pcb's and panels!

Cheers!
thebot
Two pcbs for me please!
EMwhite
I'd like two mix boards minimum;
analogdata
want two.
pcbs+panels
wavehead
3x pcb/panel
lazerkind
Yay, one set please. applause
