Quick question on the Shifty.
Does this replace the functionality of my A-151 v2?
As @cptnal said a few posts back the Shifty isn’t bi-directional.

Re:

Hi everyone, I' m experimenting with the DLD for looping and processing CVs. I'd like to make the inputs DC coupled, as per the manual's suggestion. On the back of the module there's a DC marked jumper pin, with "aux" and "main" written below. Can anyone confirm if jumpers must be placed on both pi...

Re: Frap Tools USTA

You have to tune the Shapeshifter with a reference voltage (0v, 1v, or whatever) patched to the v/oct input. The Shapeshifter is unusual in this way. Maybe this is your problem?

Re: Disting EX feature request

I’d like to ask for an Analog Shift Register for single mode. Maybe boring compared to the current slate of single mode algorithms, but there are not too many other options out there and even fewer that don’t have some issues that could be avoided by the Disting platform.

I assume, but don’t know, that the Sharpie on the back would denote a hardware revision, not a firmware.

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer

just received a Vector from another user here and i'm confused about the behavior of the encoders when adjusting pitch. when i turn clockwise, pitch goes up appropriately, however when i try to turn CCW, the pitch will only go so low as C of the current octave then no further. to get back to the lo...

Touching the metal ring of a stackcable can short the connection. Maybe this is what is happening to you.

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer

I'm embarrassed to admit I've never used Sinfonion's sequencing feature.... but wouldn't a run signal be adequate to at least reset it initially and let it run? I guess if you want to create shorter sequences by resetting it every so many steps it might not work, but at least on a basic level, if i...

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer

I use Vector as the master and clock Pam at 24ppq. I use the expander for basic clcking duties (which frees up most Pam outputs for clocked modulation). I still use Pam to reset the Sinfonion's chord sequencer because as far as I tell Vector doesn't have a single pulse on start option. I found that...

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer

Now that we're talking about syncing the Vector: I have the following setup: Ableton -> Silentway -> Expert Sleepers ES-3 = 24ppqn + Run + Reset 24ppqn + Run > Vector 24ppqn + Reset > Metron 24ppqn + Reset > MI Grids But, while the Metron and Grids sync absolutely rock solid to the 24ppqn clock, th...

If such a crowd sourced list existed, and was exhaustive, I still would defer to the manual(s) for anything critical.

Re: ADDAC215 Dual S&H+

Minimum slew is very fast on the Dual S+H, it is definitely not seconds long, i can’t measure it but it is in the realm of milliseconds. I do however seem to get *slightly* faster slew times just a hair above fully CCW on the slew knob, and oddly this seems to impact the circuit even when slew is tu...

The Soulsby Uni-Five has some pre baked solutions for converting +5/-5V and 0-8V into 0-5V, and is tiny. Haven’t owned it before, no experience.

Re: Announcing ALM017 - Pamela's NEW Workout

It sounds like you are having an issue, but it should never matter whether the BPM readout is the same between two clock sources. It should only matter that the clock sources are in sync, and in phase. Think of the BPM display as a GUI element that might include rounding errors. If the two sources (...

If you are using a source like an LFO for example, you might want to scale down the range of possible notes.

Well the Silent Way plugin does have a run gate and also the output gain can be scaled within the plugin. It’s compatible with Bitwig although I have only used it in Logic. I think it costs $60.

Coming from the Komplex, it’s a bit of a shock despite all the videos I’ve watched and rewatched. Nevertheless, I’m getting around fairly well already. I’m a bit surprised to realize the subsequ...

Re: Which Eurorack Chord Gen. for Hydrasynth?

You can’t send chords over CV to the Hydrasynth because there aren’t enough CV inputs on it, but you can over Midi. For this you could use the Befaco VCMC plus whatever else you want in front of it. Offhand Tetrapad, O+C, Harmonaig, Sinfonion could all be good to pair with it.

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer Teaser

If I understand correctly, I cannot use a 24ppqn clock (from Metron), and reset it with a pulse (from a Metron channel or the reset-out)? If I choose RC24, then it seems to expect a run signal, and no matter what options I pick for the reset input, its does nothing. Am I missing something? You can ...

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer Teaser

There’s just one Euclidean generator at this time, some of the other generators types do have more than one subtype that can include different parameters that will be generated. They all generate note and gate info, but some may also include pitch glide, velocity, step length, and ratchet.

With the generator you don’t, the number of beats/gates is randomized.
