Re: Ryk M185 Sequencer - per step repeat and gate mode

Hi Ryk, Great price :-) For sure interested in two kits. I'm now looking for a case, and the 4MS POD60 looks like a candidate. Do you know the depth and power consumption? Thanks. Hello Thanks for the comments. Here are the power consumption specs: +12V - 75mA average, 110mA peak [ in some menu pro...

Both feedback signals (paths) return and mix on the input buffer. Feedback send is before TAP1,2 pots, so any feedback level you modify will affect the input signal. Because feedback level are summing, you should lower the feedback levels if you want to use both in the same time. With a single tap,...

Just installed the new IC's, and I now have a nice delay  What a great design, so much fun to use. I have learned my lesson here.... Thanks all for your help and time! Now checking all functions, and about one thing I'm not sure if it is working correctly. Is it intended you can add the feedb...

I don't really have a pony in this race yet, as my pcb set is still waiting to be built, but will add this: you have an awful lot of chip substitutions going on there. My experience has been that sometimes those will work, but sometimes they don't. Normally, if I need to make a substitution, I'll d...

I'v built tens of units starting from trimm values adjusted like in the manuals and adjusting a bit the longest delay time. (rare beats). So I think something else is wrong, it's better to check the clock line if you have clock from minimum o maximum 200khz-1mhz. Look at the schematics and test thi...

Does TIME and "TAP LEV" have influence on the pitch of the nboise you are hearing too? I might have the same problem, but its not noise its clearly the LM13700 OSC which are problebly the "clock" for the TAP, but why do they "bleed" into the audio? Thx for your reply, just checked this and TIME doe...

Just completed my build but have some troubleshooting to do… Hopefully somebody can help me what to check first. I took time for this build, checking every component before soldering, and washing the boards with alcohol isopropanol. Some remarks: • The blue tubes you see in the pictures are just ele...

Almost finished my build and not sure about the orientation of the push switch. I do not see green paint but red on my switch. Should this side facing the dot on the board? Thanks for the PW resistor report :tu: I still have my RS boards unpopulated, so good information for the future. I did build Logicgates version in 2016 and used that time the resistor values from Benjamin AM, I assume these changes will also work on the RS boards? Sorry to bring this up so late in ...

Before selecting a new transistor did you have a try adjusting R328 (cf picture below). Otherwise Q86 is the 'noise' transistor (cf picture below). Thanks, yes R328 is maxed. Just swapped Q86 and placed a socket in there. The two other 3392's I have are of the same level. Maybe I should have gone f...

I have one MME running with 1N4148 - and its working just fine and sounding great. Looking at the schematics, I don't think the type of diode makes a huge difference. Even Moog substituted this diode several times as pointed out a few posts back. My second MME will be built with the 1N457A (which o...

Hi Julien, Finally sourcing my parts (via Mouser & Tayda and prefer to order all there) and wondering about some substitutions: • 1N458A is not stocked at Mouser right now, can I order the 512-1N457A or even use the 1N4148? • Cannot get the right values trimmers for 25R & 2.5K, can these be substitu...
