where to get a 201e-3?

bought the tactile input port and surface but didn't realize it doesn't come with the passive frame. Nowhere lists it, so not sure what I should do?

Re: Beast’s Chalkboard alternative?

there was a thread on this at some point, but at least the two units I had had noticeable droop on the 1V/oct output, which is a shame since in theory it's a really useful module.

Used Antonus sometimes pop up. Mine sounds just like a 2600, but keep in mind it’s just a TTSH variant.

Re: Learning Random*Source Serge panels

Patch Point is more than a store -- they sell completed kits (and have great customer service, as I've bought from them a few times). No complaints about the service, but if you sell a $3000 panel, having _some_ documentation doesn't seem too much to ask? "Individualistic" approach? I want to read h...

Re: Learning Random*Source Serge panels

Yeah, that's the issue for me. There's a lot of assumed knowledge, so when someone is new to Serge (but not modular, as I have Buchla, Euro, and MU), it's just a bit overwhelming trying to figure out even basic things like "What are these inputs for?" Or what are the color codes (I know those are do...

Right - but those aren’t the exact same as R*S are they? It’s unclear what the mapping is.

Learning Random*Source Serge panels

So...it seems like a lot of this knowledge is tribal (reading posts, watching videos). Are there actually any manuals that can teach me what all the pieces of an Edelweiss II, La Bestia, etc. can/should do? Pretty frustrating that not even a cursory attempt at documentation seems to be made.

Two others to consider -- ADDAC 601 and Flame Curves. The Curves doesn't get enough attention IMO.

Re: R*S XL Boat power question

Sorry, wasn't clear -- there is also a hole in the bottom, but with a panel + 2 x 4x4 I would need 3 power headers. The only way I currently see to do that is either with the side mounted PCB (which forces XLR entry on the side) or running three power out the back, which would be a little silly. Can...

R*S XL Boat power question

How are people setting up power in XL boats _without_ going out the side port? It seems that the most common method of powering an XL is with a side mounted PCB + XLR but that isn't very rack compatible/friendly.

Re: Where should I start?

Quite a few Easels are selling right now ($4000-4500 USD is what I've been seeing) and would be a great starter system. I'd sell you mine but I'm in the USA (I bought it a couple months ago and have since expanded to a 200e-24...)

Fast way to update all times on 250e?

I'm having a hard time setting precise times for each stage on my 250e. No display means I can't tell what's going on, so ideally I'd get it right on one and copy to the other stages. I'm use to the edit/parameter/knob 'sweep' but that doesn't seem to work for the time values?

Re: Buchla 252e - Thoughts and general use ?

So even at 480bpm I can barely get 16th notes out of this -- I'm obviously missing something? Something else I've run into is that my whole system (200e-24 case) locks up if I let it run long enough. It's a mix of E and non-E but nothing particularly exotic. There's a 250e and 252e, and I did try to...

Re: Clocking Buchla question

Thanks for the response. I find this pretty surprising, since I don't use MIDI, and just assumed that analog clocking is table stakes for any modular. The 252e pulse outputs are programmable, so does that imply I have to use one of the 252e's pulse channels as a pure clock with even intervals? Keepi...

Clocking Buchla question

I'm used to thinking in Eurorack land where if you want to clock your system you can take a clock pulse from just about anywhere, run it through a mult/divider, and distribute it that way. I'm not sure how to do that in Buchla, specifically with my 250e and 252e, where I'd like them to be in sync. A...

Bumping this again, as I'm having to figure out what the right combo of 258, 259, 259e, 261e, and DAO would be. I currently have the DAO, 261e arriving Monday, and a 258r, but seeing comments about the 259 (not e) makes me want to look for one (although I expect I've had something similar in the pas...

bumping this as I'm running into the same issue -- I have a 206e and want to connect to my mixer, but don't have the IO panel breakout. Any other suggestions (other than the utility module, which I'm also getting). Normally I'd look at a system interface and use something else for my preset manager,...

Recommendations for good bags or cable organizers that are portable/stowable for eurorack, banana, etc.? I have a CableFlyt soft case and it's "Fine" but I'm looking for something a bit nicer.
