Some minijack plugs work fine in a tinijax socket, others don't and make bad contact. The minijack sizes vary slightly between manufacturers, this is a "standard" with tolerance.
I've found that TipTop Audio Stackables work best in lieu of actual TiniJax cables.

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

I spoke to Wes at Foxtone last week about a powered busboard for my skylab case. I had previously emailed BOTH Buchla and Foxtone to no avail. So it seems calling them is the way to go.

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

Yeah, I was actually ready to try and get a 223e but we got to talking about the 218 Lem and that was when he mentioned the 218 LEM b stock, I guess it was meant to be ;) also maybe early enough that they still had a few left. I did consider the 223e as well. I wonder how well it pairs with the 208?

Does Buchla sell replacement parts?

Just purchased a Skylab case however it's an unpowered case and comes with one power distribution board. Does Buchla sell replacement parts? Obviously I need a powered busboard, power supply etc. I did look into SAModular, however it's not an easy task as the mounting holes are on different location...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

Yup, I also got a 218 Lem to go with my Command Module, I got the fretless version for $699 (b stock) so yeah they have some available for people who are buying the 208C.. Interesting, Wes didn't mention they had fretless b-stock when I called. However, I'm really happy with the fretted 218 - looki...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

Wow, quite a price drop. I sent them an e-mail in hopes of grabbing one, hopefully the imperfections aren't too significant, not much of a choice considering you can't find them anywhere else. Yes, I purchased for $599. I should have mentioned that it was b-stock. However, besides a couple of small...

Good to know, I'd love a LEM218 but the Roli is gonna have to do the job til I can track one down.
I picked one up from Foxtone recently ($599) and I believe they have more in stock.

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

Preordered the Easel Command a couple of days ago at Noisebug. Really excited to finally dive into the world of Buchla. Down the line I have my eye on either the LEM4 or getting a bigger case (10U) and building the system slowly.

Installed 10.1 last night. Using an Apollo MK II interface the clock out module works great however when I try and send CV to a MN DPO 1volt/Oct input via output 3 of the Apollo so I can calibrate the osc the audio sounds like I'm feeding a noise source to the osc. Tried different cables to no avail...

Creating Drum Patterns Using an LFO

This may well be old news to all but the beginner wiggler but I've written a blog post on creating drum patterns using an LFO ( or two).

Glaring omissions, errors and comments are welcome. I hope you find it interesting!

David Bowie and The Pretty Things

My father, Brian Pendleton, was the rhythm guitarist in the original line-up of The Pretty Things. I have written a blog post on the connection between The Pretty Things and David Bowie, including a chance meeting my father had with Bowie in the early seventies that changed his life. I hope you find...

To use the 161 side of the A-160/161 combo is the wrong way to use it. Take an simple A-160 and send four of the six outputs of this module into the four inputs of an A-138 and you'll hear a much more than 8 steps sequence. :tu: You can do even better. Two sequences with only one A-160. Don't belie...
