Re: Interested in a reprint of Allen Strange's Electronic Music?

Amazing! Is there a possibility of bulk discounts for paperback copies?

Also, will this be continually in print, or one and done.

It's a great ringmod pedal for sure. I would not pay more than close to $100 for one. I had the reissue come through the guitar shop I work at, think we sold it for ~$120. I think its a steal at 60lbs for sure. If you miss out though, there are other probably better ring mods in the pedal world that...

is opening the plumbutter2 (specifically deerhorn part) as simple as undoing the screws? mine doesnt seem to budge Those screws are soldered into the traces of the deerhorn PCB, is there a reason you need to open it up? To open the full PB, you have to unscrew all of the other screws near the edges

I think part of what Deiter hoped to achieve was making modular more accessible to the masses; smaller size, lower price, etc. He has certainly done that but it’s also fair to say that he has broadened the horizons by stretching his range of modules to include some fairly rare design concepts that ...

Here is my recent idea to expand from my BB258 panel. I'm not sure about the Req EQ, I had one in euro and didn't gel with it. I probably didn't fully understand how it worked but still... Also don't know if its worth adding a dedicated sequencer that small. The idea here is to use this set up for a...

I would love to be a part, very happy to have both the previous tapes! I mostly do drone, I would probably buy a chirper just for this and see if I can get 3 minuets out of that and a pedal or two!

Bringing this back up, this is such an incredible thread! Thank you all so much for posting. I've been at a point lately where I have this 'sound' in my head that I just can't get out. I'm still trying to define my sort of drone aesthetic/philosophy. Basically everything I've been doing musically la...

This is all awesome, we still have an EML 200 at Temple university, the professor and I would love to see scans if that is possible! There is one guy I know locally who used to be a dealer for EML and knew the owners I believe. Certainly Tom's river is close enough, there is history for EML in this ...

If you have the BB-258 + Edelweiss II + TKB, that is a killer system. IMO (with the little experience I have so far just having the BB-258 panel) I think starting with only Edelweiss II + TKB would be a bit too much sequencing and logic and little sound generation if that is what your asking. What s...

I figured it might be more of a stand alone thing, hence PB selling as multiples of a few of them in a set.

I might just have to keep digging deeper and stay focused on the cocobutter...

IFM compared with CIAT functions

I have a cocobutter so far and have used Sidrax. I was trying to understand better the IFM module line better as each relates to either parts of Cocoquantus or Plumbutter. If I'm wrong, absolutely let me know but it seems like the IFM modules can be thought of in terms of pieces of the Ciat Lonbarde...

Wow, that's a real bummer. Would have been awesome if the seller actually stated that. When I asked, the seller basically said good luck finding the correct supply... Here is an example of the hum I'm experiencing using my twinpeak filter, then my benjolin. http://soundcloud.com/the_telescreen/doepf...

The original owner is now saying the cases are 240V, not sure how that would differ. I thought the supply internally would be converting whatever came in to +/- 12v?

Doing some more experiments, I deff think it is 60 hz hum coming through the audio path. I'm able to filter out a lot of it with my mixer EQ so deff looks to be the case there.

Would replacing the fuses do anything?
