Re: amazing iPhone music apps

Samplr, Mirack, Ripplemaker, Factory, Aprillo, Borderlands, AUM, Glitchcore, Bleass delay and reverb, all the Audiodamage apps, all the Brambos apps, Drambo. I was a hardware only guy for 20 years. Now, the iPad plays a huge role in how I make music.

use of a pick vs finger bass. Use of a pick affords far less expressiveness (via dynamics) opposed to finger bass which has a slightly softer attack but far greater expressiveness. what a load of bull ... the playing is in the hand. i can play as expressive as i want with a pick! Well let's give yo...
YOU COULD JUST NOT BUY THEM YOU KNOW.
But I do buy them. I have quite a few older synths that are little more than a couple of oscillators, a LPF, an envelope, LFO, and a VCA. I have no problem with that style of architecture. I'm just stirring the pot :)

NO MORE SUBTRACTIVE SYNTHS PLEASE!!!

I love old school style analog synths as much as the next guy, but it's ridiculous how saturated the market is. Do we really need another dual oscillator, semi modular subtractive synthesizer? Most of them really bring nothing new to the table, except maybe some aesthetic and minor functionality dif...

That sucks, man. One of the best things about living where I am, is that both doors have security doors and the windows have wrought iron cages over them. Sticky thread or Separate sub-forum for mobile apps?

I (and many other musicians I know and work with) have really embraced working on music with iPads, phones, etc.

There are tons of unique synths, sequencers and effects that are only available in a "mobile" format. I propose giving this format a place of its own.

WHAT SAY YOU?!

Not sure if it can be considered old compared to other ones, but my Boss Sp-202s were the most fun I ever had with sampling. I had two. Immediate, grimy, inspiring, and stupid simple to use. You could really mangle samples with it, and then record them to another pad or into your daw. Fucking loved ...

Realistic drum app IOS

Sorry for the awkward wording here, but can anyone recommend a drum app with real drum sounds that I can use for Cubasis? I have a lot of drum machines and drum synth apps, but none of them- save Patterning, which I find clunky as hell in Cubasis- have solid samples for real drums. This is for sketc...

If iPad apps are allowed, I'd have to say Ruismaker Noir and Ripplemaker. I find them more entertaining and essential than most of the hardware and vst synths I've bought over the last decade. They are serious pieces of kit, but also fine to just tweak the hours away on.

Time to revive this old thread. I first heard this project around 2000, or so, when I was a wee black metal heathen.
