Split your sine wave to a divider. That produces square waves of 1, 2, 4, 8 etc. octaves lower then the original. Mix one or more of these with your original sine wave, maybe even via a separate filter for total control.

El Capistan is a popular delay but I sold mine. I was often confused at the mix output on it. Maybe I had a bad one but I never got it to do what I needed with the modular. I have half a dozen delays for the modular and that was the only one I ever got rid of. Same experience... besides, the RE-20 ...
