Thanks for the tips, LA cleared some stuff up for me so I'll likely be getting some MA panels/PCBs and start there.

Buchla 100 PCB/panel suppliers?

Looking for a good place (beside LA 67) to buy PCBs and panels for 4u 100 series Buchla stuff, but have come up with nothing thus far.

Is there anyone else folks like going to for this?

Thanks all

This is really a 4u question, but with all the shuffling it seems prudent to ask if the PCBs and BOMs are still going to be updated by Roman for the 4u stuff. Any word on this? Was looking forward to picking up some sets of the new 259 boards, no change thus far on the website.

There's supposed to be a pulser coming from Roman too. PCBs seem to be for sale but no information on how to build them yet... https://electricmusicstore.com/products/programmable-pulser-model-242 Looking at the 242 (I'm guessing it's the CBS branded 12-stage pulser with the pin interface), it woul...

246 v. 248 MARF

Having had zero experience with the MARF and a ton with the 246, I'm inclined to purchase a 246 for my system... Have been reading up on the MARF and it is way more capable in terms of pitch sequencing, but my favorite thing to do with the 246 was to patch the pulse-per-stage outputs into the 281s, ...

I was originally hyped on the JX, as i've had a few of those over the years and really liked them. But i was reminded that it has no PWM, which was a bummer. I ended up grabbing the JP. I find the sliders perfectly fine. I think the resistance helps with the short throw. But the next one i get will...

Okay, had a chance to use all three in a local music shop today. They're good. The JX sounds so close to my old JX-3P that it was kind of hard to believe at first that they were digital, and that the sound was coming out of the tiny box in front of me. I wouldn't buy the Jupiter, it sounded the best...

Please do videos! They have a lot of features on their to-do list, not sure when these things will all be implemented, but every couple months some new feature gets added. I really hope they sell out of their pre-orders so they keep making these, and more importantly, keep developing for them. Also,...

My opinion: 225e for MIDI and preset management... Won't help with the 208 presets, but they might be able to supply a cable so you can hook the MIDI ports on the Easel chassis directly to the 225e, and give full MIDI control 281e for more envelope shapes, and for easier and more interesting self-ge...

I am also looking at this as a potential RS7000 replacement. I love the sequencer on the RS, and I think that I might miss the realtime remix functionality. However, the Pyramid is very compact and immediate...that is a very compelling factor. The immediacy is one of the main reasons I'd want to sw...

An interesting note, most Laserdiscs have an analog audio track on them... If you have a laserdisc and it has the weird, boxy, "CX" logo on it, it means that the disc is using CX noise reduction to minimize the audio track's carrier signal from getting into the picture, which indicates that at least...

Was going to recommend the Lexicon MX400. https://www.session.de/out/pictures/master/product/4/Lexicon_MX400_3.jpg It's like the 200 except it has two independent effects processors, and if you wanted, it has surround reverbs with quad out. So, either a mega-stacked single processor, a dual unit wit...

They can't be THAT small, I mean there are 21 lighted sliders on the one on the left. They look Microbrute-ish in size and layout. Seriously, don't get the idea of flashing analog polys on the screen and then teasing tiny boxes with two octaves of mini keys. I think they'll sound great, though, what...

I see what you mean. Over the past week I've been constantly weighing the immediacy of this versus the relative complexity of my RS7000, and trying to figure out what gets in my way the most when I write music on the RS. One barrier is that I don't really care for utilizing "sections". I can make so...

kragg- do you find the 64 patterns to be limiting? I'm on GS right now and someone keeps saying that 64 is just not enough to work with if someone were to want to play a live set with this. Personally, I'd rather have a playlist feature that gaplessly loads up full sequences one after another for pl...

Agreed. It really looks quite promising though, especially when you consider the OS isn't even at 1.0 yet! The price definitely doesn't bother me at all, it seems entirely reasonable for something this refined. Hopefully the build quality is good too. In my ideal world, this would replace the Octat...

I'm lusting for this pretty bad. The fact that you don't even really need to attach a midi keyboard to it is a big plus, especially for live. I wish there were more demos of this around the internet and youtube aside from these very utilitarian squarp videos. Hopefully they stick to their launch da...

I'm actually a recent convert to Eurorack but that is only a single instrument in a studio that still uses a lot of MIDI for all its flaws. I currently use either my Machinedrum or Analog Four for sequencing duties but there are times where it's genetic allegiance to 16 step patterns can be frustra...

Another perspective on this sequencer: This is almost perfect for my needs... Almost. Right now I have an RS7000, which, correct me if I'm wrong, is the only hardware sequencer other than this (and maybe the RM1X? Not sure) that can do different time signatures AND different pattern lengths for patt...

Also, wouldn't you need to program the 223e over and over again, at each power up, without a 225e or 206e ? You can store one default preset on the 223e without a preset manager present so it would have a default when you switch on the K Easel. A person could set up what they think would be most us...
