Phasing (Unwanted)

Hi All, I'm getting into trying to get a deeper understand of phasing. First, pretty basic question: are there substantially more phasing issues ITB vs OTB? Due to latency and what not... Second, I've been trying a few plugins to get a sense of what kind of phasing I'm encountering. PAZ Analyzer and...

Re: Advice on set-up

Thanks for noticing that. I can't get the normalization to work 100% in all situations, but you're right on that one. And I agree it's a complicated set-up. But I don't see any way to avoid it if my aim is full flexibility. I know it'll be hell getting it all done, tested and working 100%. I expect ...

Advice on set-up

Hi All, I'm about to get a Mackie 8 Bus mixer and want to sort my system to reduce patching as much as possible. Hopefully I can do 99% of it via the patchbay. I've been working on this for a few days, in anticipation of the desks arrival, checking the manual and trying to understand it all. I've la...

Aksi s950 polyphony question (SOLVED)

Hi All, I just got a S950 and been trying to lay down a beat but I can't figure out how to play 2 sounds at once in a program. Right now I have a kick, a OH and a CH. All in their own keygroup. Actually, none of the midi notes are triggered at the same time. Of course later, when I add a snare, that...

I asked the question to Motu and got this as an answer. I'll try it out when I get home today. It is possible to get post-effect signal from the 828es' virtual mixer and record it into Ableton. There are a couple of ways to do this: 1) You can use the Post-FX channels, which are available in the top...

Any Motu 828es users here?

Hi All, I'm a bit lost with a few aspects of how to use the browser based routing and Live. Previously I used a mixing desk with Firewire so I'm a bit new to AIs. Some of these questions might be dumb... I can get audio from my 828es into live. No issue. But I have to mute the channels in the browse...

Yeah, I was using audition. Getting rid the marker it includes seemed to solve the problem. Thanks! I think my Morphagene is trashed... Every time I hit the record button, the unit crashes. It just starts emitting a high pitched whine and the unit freezes with not knobs being responsive. The only wa...

Having an issue with a second hand unit i bought. On the input side, when i jack a balanced cable into the left input I hit the red, even with the other end of the cable not plugged into anything. I can't hear anything coming into the left, even when I do connect the other end to an output. Weird th...

The bug brand PTdelay is one of fave pieces or hardware because it really feels like an instrument. Infinitely playable. I want that in a sampler... I was looking at Rossum’s but took a pass cause I already have an MPC4000 (used in conjunction with a Cirklon)and felt it wouldn’t bring too much new c...

In order to turn a low frequency waveform on and off, without pops, you'll need a VCA that has Zero-Crossing detection. A WMD Digital VCA etc. Either that, or you need the envelope that opens the VCA to have a slow attack, otherwise when you activate that bass you run the risk of the speaker trying...
