I used to have a Pearl Drum-X. Bass, snare, and three toms in one analog unit - controls are basic digital - no knobs. Sounds great, and very different from most drum synths.

I used to have a Crumar Roady. I really liked the way it sounded - not a lot of info on them, but they are alright. Non-weighted keys, though. Heavy, but easy to service - opens up like a clam with hinges on the inside - similar to a pencil case.

If I wanted to disable the delay function of the PT2399, instead of attaching a potentiometer to the resistor connected to it's leg, could I simply cut the leg of the chip? Or, could I cut the trace connected to the chip? Nobody seems to have done that - only attach a potentiometer. I don't want to ...

Really nice filter - very loud when the resonance is all the way up. I place it before my ZVEX ILFJ and it turns into a squidgy potato distortion when overdriven. Really great pedal!

I have the one with knobs instead of sliders - it's great! Sturdy, reliable. Lowers the volume noticeably, like all passive mixers in this style do. Sound remains the same.

I rather enjoy the snare sometimes. It's very old/crusty sounding. That being said I prefer to use it as a 3rd tom. I also like the hi-hats and their odd tuning via the grain feature. Comes in kind of handy for different-sounding hi-hats.
