Re: What should I do with the last 4HP of this case?

Here's a couple of thought exercises for you. 1. Is there a subset of 1 or 2 modules that really, really drive your interest in Eurorack? If so, what are they and what do they do? 2. What is your end goal? What role do you see your eurorack filling in your setup? The first will help you figure out h...

It is not. Pretty sure the USB-C connection is power only.

Re: Thoughts on this design for a "Super Sampler"

Assimilator, Metron + 2 Voltera, Zadar and an in/out interface could get you started creating, then add modules as needed from there. This is the route I would suggest as well. A Metron/Voltera setup is crazy powerful and will scale up nicely with the growth of your system. Zadar will give you a lo...

Re: Help figuring out the 4U Palette puzzle

I'd also ask this question - will you be using this Palette strictly with the Octatrack? Or is standalone operation also desired? If it's the former, then you could probably lose the Pam's and put the Mutant Brain back in, or pick the CV.OCD and reclaim that space for something else. Other than that...

Re: Polyend Tracker

Cool, I'm a little jealous but will supposedly get mine near the end of the month. Have you stuck with the micro SD card it came with? Or have you upgraded to something bigger/faster? Wondering where the point of diminishing returns is on card speed. No streaming iirc? If that's correct card speed ...

Re: 104hp Drum Synth Starter

Cool, that's helpful. Circadium Rhythms looks dope, though I haven't used it. Another sequencer to consider would the WMD's Metron, which has 16 tracks and optional add-ons for CV control and accents if that interests you. Had one for a while, was great but also overkill for my needs at the time. Ca...

Re: 104hp Drum Synth Starter

haha i remember when i was like 'ya i'll just do a little drum machine in eurorack'. now my tiny bedroom consists of ~60% synth / audio equipment, ~40% queen-sized bed. i'd recommend getting an external sequencer, like BSP, and some manglers for recorded sequences, like the Shakmat stuff. this rout...

Same - I had mine downwind from a E-RM multiclock, no issues whatsoever.

Bump for a new OS upgrade and also question - is it necessary to run through all the previous OS updates or can you just skip a bunch and update directly to this most recent one? https://www.elektronauts.com/news/522 Class Compliant USB Audio, Step Recording mode, Trig Probability, Trig Preview, In...

If your number came already and you never claimed it, is it too late?
Not necessarily. I passed the first time my number came up as I had an extend trip happening around the time when it would have arrived. Asked to be included in the next round, which I was a month or two later.

Re: Pulsar-23 by Soma

Sorry if this has been answered before, but it’s a long thread and I can’t find the answer elsewhere... I know that the pulsar doesn’t save patterns, but does it hold its state over a power cycle? I tend to work in short bursts building a track over a week or so, so like to return to the same patch...

Re: The Elektron Model:Cycles Thread

I'm not sure that I'd pick Cycles as a primary rhythm machine myself - I usually build up with samples first. Really liking it as a secondary source to fill out the gaps, though. Love the Metal and Chord machines quite a bit. Definitely think it's worth the money.

Several retailers state 5V 1A over USB C, I couldn't find it on their website (either).
This matches up with what I've found as well.

Here's an online version of the manual I stumbled across elsewhere:

Re: Polyend Tracker

Inquired about this from one of the testers - looks like there is no reverb in the Tracker at this time. Definitely gives me some pause in my view of it as a possible Digitakt alternative.

Hoping I'm wrong about this...

Re: Polyend Tracker

I’m really liking what I’m seeing in these for the most part, but... where’s the reverb? Think I remember hearing in a couple of different videos that the reverb was still being worked on when the demo units were being sent around. Will it be present in the units being shipped out now? Or is it comi...

Build your own out of wood. My 126hp 3u case is 6” deep.
That’s also crossed my mind, but I sadly don’t have or know anyone with the space or the tools for that kind of work. And the tool libraries around here are still shuttered for the foreseeable future. Haven’t ruled it out entirely, though.

Re: 3U 104HP Cases?

I've got a couple of Expert Sleeper modules that are over 50mm, just want to make sure that they'll fit. Looked into the Make Noise 3U cases, not super jazzed about the sliding nuts and 2.5mm screws, but at least it comes with the latter. $250 is also about what I can expect to spend on one of the o...

Re: 3U 104HP Cases?

That’s a good suggestion. I know that the 4U cases have brackets to connect them together, no clue whether they’ll work for 7U cases as well. Not sure that I need another 1U row... but not sure what other options I have. I’ll have to throw an email at Intellijel about that.

3U 104HP Cases?

Are there any 3U 104 HP cases left that are not skiff-sized in depth? I’m looking for something stout enough to accommodate a 7U Intellijel case on top. Thinking something like this, but that I wouldn’t have to import into the US. https://www.etsy.com/listing/526958393/eurorack-case-3u-powered?ref=s...

Re: Pulsar-23 by Soma

LameAim: yes, the expense. I get the same feelings regarding my Lyra-8, which can't really be replaced at any price, but just doesn't get enough use--and then there's the size and bulk of it. With the P-23, though, it fits in so well with what I want to do that I'd actually be tempted to get a seco...

Re: What new booty did you buy?

I picked up an Analog Four semi-recently and paired it with my Digitakt in the living room while I get to know it better, has been lots of fun. Everything I’ve done with those two so far sound like lo-fi hip hop versions of Ridge Racer tunes :sb: So I’ve felt inspired enough to commit to some big ch...
