Re: Intellijel Quadrax
Something is bugging me in synced LFO mode. I don't know if it's intended behavior or not — if it is, I question the reasoning behind it. When I feed an LFO a trigger from a clock module, and press start, it will lock to the rhythm, but if I twist the rate knob one direction or the other and come b...

Re: weirdest possible functional modular
How bout; a clock source, a few multiplier/dividers, (maybe a switch or two for the faint of heart), and sequencers all the way down

My V1 tracks very well over at least 4-5 octaves, never had problems with the sub either?

Re: double andore
Even that would be an improvement for me as I seem to have both: 1. When modulating the right side envelope, the whole unit freezes 2. Intermittently, the right side envelope cuts short as if the release is suddenly zero and the length has suddenly ended. Yes please, if you can forward the update fi...

Re: Great Examples of Modulating Your Modulation
That’s what this is:

It’s very interesting to ‘play’ the modulation, that controls modulators, it’s like being one or two steps removed, but still influencing things, conducting 🥸

Re: Intellijel Quadrax
My original Quadrax turned out to be one of the last of the 12 bit ones that slipped out in an initial run (with an incorrect part installed) Both Intellijel and the dealer I bought it from, Nightlife-electronics in Vancouver, were very quick to get me sorted and were able to swap a 16 bit for me. :...

Re: Generative modules for 7u 104hp
If you had a really tiny case, the desert island generative module would probably be Sample & Hold. There’s just so many creative ways to patch up cool things with S&H. But ultimately, my advice for generative is that no matter what you pick, choose the modules with the most voltage control. The mor...

Another cool one is the Korgasmatron with expander; four separate audio ins to two outs, parallel or series with cross fader, it’s like a freq based mixer!

Re: Help me understand what's special about DSUG and its spin-offs
Aside from their flexibility in usage, they’re also one of the best ways to create complex, organic functions (voltages changing over time) that can then be modulated to alter those functions. Think of an incredibly variable LFO. Add to that the various ‘end of state’ triggers and the ability to sam...

I'm having a brain freeze with this one   I lol’d when I read this because the perfect little module for this is the Antimatter ‘Brain Seed’ It’s a little seq utility that does some weird stuff but one cool thing it does is allow you to start and stop clocked CV recording and then...

Re: LFO patch query
Another option is to think in the opposite way; run your clock source as fast as you’d ever want to go and then use a clock divider to slow it down to your regular slow tempo. Some clock dividers can be voltage controlled, some have multiple outs that you can then use a switch to switch across.

I wonder how much more brandy you'll need to unknit that pile of wires... I hadn't paid attention that you seem to use only black cables when I got your booster pack. I hope you don't mind too much those will be coloured. Oh it took the last of the brandy, sadly! Coloured ones are great...

Here, linked to preserve the perversity of such an endeavour for a time when future aliens consider us to be the Krell, is the sad story of me being trapped in my studio for many months with nothing but a polyphonic Krell patch for company. And brandy, of course. So long did I teeter on the caprice ...
