Re: What is it about the musical genre "noise" that you find appealing?

I have been listening to noise for almost 15 years now, I am no expert. but here is my 2 cents. i have always liked weird music and the more weird the better. One of my favorite things is indeed all the variations on the theme, Dark Ambient is one of my favorites, and the one most of my productions ...

Re: Share your no input patches!

I haven't played with this technique much lately. but mixer out > cheapo EQ pedal > input is good simple setup. a little delay/reverb on the FX channel and you have a solid 20 mins. with the 7 band eq pedal you can get some massive bass and really dial in the textures. I have been contemplating circ...

Re: Recovery Bad Comrade V3 Available Now!

Looks right up my alley. I’ve been looking for interesting dirt and have 4hp to spend. I’d love to hear it with shorter/percussive sounds if you make another video. I am wondering about that too. here is a video of the V2 version, the last 1/3 the video has some percussion through it. https://www.y...

I really appreciate the guys doing modular concerts in Seattle, they live stream the concerts and have a video screen showing the gear. This way people can face the crowd, and the audience can see what gear is being manipulated.

after much contemplation, I have set up 2 cases. One for my noisy but techno influenced stuff, and the other for all the more esoteric/straight up noise/drone stuff. It can also be fun to set it up and try to focus on the more limited stuff you have in one case and maximize the noise / set times you...

really enjoying the self patched series.

I have been thinking of throwing my hat in the mix with a 4ms PEG... but i'm in the middle of moving so no video from me for a while. The PEG can do some really cool stepped tones and squarewavey digital noise.

i have the optomix and the mystic circuits lpg. both sound great. i "rolled my own" vactrol out of an LED and a photoresistor, and some electrical tape. it sounds surprisingly good and love it for my hardware hacker tendencies. easy kit to make too with lots of documentation, the 0hp line is cool.

its a "military" tool box. luckily I got it for free so I didn't feel bad gutting it out to put my synth in.

Certainly a good note, always a good idea to check for shorts as you are assembling electronics.

I also hate when the cable plugged in to the module is either made wrong or plugged in wrong from the manufacture. I have had both of these problems as well,
