It will be all smd; 0805 and SOIC.

Hope to have it ready in early March.
Hell yeah!
Look forward to seeing that

Yup, got my order of WORM in this morning, as soon as it went live (thanks twitter!) Now, time to sell off a bunch of my eurorack, I'm getting closer to just ERD/floktek/NLC All the rest of those coming up sound real cool too! Future modules planned for 2018 include: ERD/RAVEN vocal filters and voco...

It seems a bit more complex then this, but to my ears you can get in the ballpark with a couple ring mods and a couple crackle boxes

Wow. The story goes he was quite a heavy drinker, indeed... Reminds me of that feedback concert I saw and the audio engineer behind the mixing desk tried heavily to remove all feedback. End result was total silence. The guy on stage was so. frustrated. Not related to this thread really, but I total...

Been trying to recreate an effect and am having some issues. Basically what sounds like heavy distortion / fuzz on a bass voice with reverb. I'm using a DPO (left side) sawtooth into an maxed out Optodist on limiter mode into a Moog-style filter, however rather than getting that thick distortion it...

I just noticed as well... you appear to be using the wrong SSG PCB for the carnivore. Again, not related to the DSG at all, but I'm guessing either you got the wrong PCB with the carnivore, or mixed it up with the regular SSG module. The components are all missing in the bottom half. Otherwise, any...

OK, so those are op-amps, and TL072 etc will work ok in the circuit. Random Source have done quite a bit of work to identify the particular op amps that they think work best in this circuit and I am willing to bet they're not TL072s so you will perhaps sacrifice a bit of performance. They look like...

https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/11114_capture_20170914113745_1.jpg So CGS has what I think are the corresponding ics listed as 4558 and LF353, alternatively TL072 for each, which seems more likely to me. I thought those were pretty hard to break chips, but I'll try swapping them out. Doe...

Your ICs should not be getting hot. Usually that means your power lines are backwards. Even if the power was reversed momentarily and you quickly unplugged it and fixed it the damage is done. That might be the issue, thanks. At one point the cgs power distro board touched the boat and shorted. I do...

I don't think this will resolve all of the issues here (truth be told I'm having some myself with the carnivore), but for the DSG on the carnivore you need a jumper on the lower COM pads... For the regular DSG this jumper isn't needed, according to the build notes. Denny Thanks for the heads up! I'...

The blue lantern asteroid operator- the big ol' one- has some really cool options for crazy resonance. But really, stick a mixer before your filter, and get some feedback going for really interesting stuff. Bitcrusher, spring reverb, delay, distortion, ring mod, whatever. (osc)>(mixer)>(filter)>out ...

I'm having some issue with my DUSGs as well. Both sides are simply outputting a steady 11.5V signal, nothing changing that, and about 2.5V coming out of the input. Two of the ICs on the board get very hot- too hot to touch even. Similar on my Carnivore, and same two ICs, the two eight legged ones si...

I don't really have the expertise to tell. The rungler sounds chaotic, and it is described as such, but I'll leave it to my betters.

It's also important to remember that phase drastically effects feedback! This is part of why filters are quite good in feedback paths. Look into VCAs that have an inverted signal available. I've had lots of success with my WMD MMVCA, especially since it can add gain, and is switchable AC/DC coupling...

Popping in with a question- my psu stopped working about a week after I got the PB, so I started just using batteries. But I keep forgetting to turn it off and it's eating all my dang batteries!
However, I seem to have lost the psu- what should I get as a replacement?
