Just checked my Minifooger (Drive) pedal. It’s center negative. Wonder why the difference vs the foogers? Nice to be able to use it on same pedalboard running off same power supply as my others though.

Re: clock module with midi in and out?
Not sure it will give you everything you need, but I like the Erica Synths Midi to Clock v2. Has one midi port (5 pin din), but can convert midi clock to modular (voltage pulse) clock or vice versa (modular to midi clock)-just not both directions at once, which shouldn’t be an issue in most applicat...

Re: First hardware compressor recs
If I was in the market for a hardware compressor for a home studio type of application, I'd take a look at the RNC (Real Nice Compressor) from FMR Audio. Very transparent in "Super Nice" mode, but can also be used to punch up drums or bass in regular mode. Around $185 at US dealers, but compares fav...

https://www.modulargrid.net/e/erica-synths-pico-input Cheaper and smaller than an external preamp, and it’s stereo in/out. Most external preamps on the market don’t output modular level, they are designed to boost microphone or guitar inputs up to line level, or for turntable/phono cartridge inputs ...

Qu-Bit Chance
https://www.qubitelectronix.com/shop/chance
Has smooth and stepped (“discrete”) random outs, plus wavetable and “blend”, which can be used for a second smooth or stepped out, or morph between the types.
Burst and random rhythmic trigger/gate outputs. Flexible but simple to use.

Re: Nord Drum 3p
If you already have a cv to midi device in your rack, I’d imagine that would work just as well? Or is there some issue I’m missing? Midi to cv modules are fairly common and widely available, the opposite (cv to midi) much less so. Likely that few people have those in their racks. And converting vol...

Re: Nord Drum 3p
The trig31 module from vpme.de converts up to 8 trigger inputs to Midi, or various combinations of note triggers and accents (for velocity if desired). Only 4 hp, around $165 USD. Setup is mildly painful due to lack of a display, lots of button pushing involved. Can store presets though so you only ...

Re: They say you can never have enough VCAs...
Here's a great VCA for anyone interested in adding more VCA channels to their system for the purpose of "modulating the modulator" (controlling CV routings with other CV sources). 8 channels in only 6hp, around $100. Sum outputs on the bottom row are a nice touch. https://www.modulargrid.net/e/doepf...

Re: Sequential Pro 3
I can confirm the assumption-answer is yes. I just tried it with my Pro 3, since I realized I had never actually done that in the time I've had it, as I use my Kawai K5000S as the primary controller to play midi rack modules polyphonically. Played some chords on a Yamaha Motif rack from the Pro 3 ke...

i haven't had time to try this, but can the keystep record midi in to the sequencer? i'm thinking about hooking up a nord drum to it so i can play the pads and have it act as a midi looper while i jam over it. Nope. See page 31 of the manual (“What it does not record”): https://downloads.arturia.co...

You would record with the same tracks 1 and 2 before and after flipping. Thank you, shows what I know lol. Would someone with a cassette deck be able to play the A and B side even if I didn't do a mixdown to a cassette master? Will it still be in stereo? I think the tape speed might be too fast on ...

Re: Is there no virtual Serge modular?
If you do decide to give in to the hardware urge at some point, cheapest way to go is probably the Euro Serge modules from Elby Designs-especially if you can solder and get the kit versions rather than assembled. No idea how close the sound is, and you’d need lots of mults or stack type cables to si...

I've had my Zadar for over a year now, luckily haven't had encoder issues, but the display screen no longer comes on when it powers up (buttons light and unit functions, just can't see what I am selecting/editing). I recall someone with that issue mentioning in this thread that they were able to get...

What would you all recommend for syncing the Model:Samples to a Eurorack? I currently have Intellijel uMIDI, which has 5-pin input, but I don't know if that input works simultaneously with computer-USB input, which is my primary reason for owning the uMIDI. I'm trying to avoid a situation where a n...

R.I.P. Harold Budd
I’m extremely saddened to have just heard that Harold Budd has died today, from Covid-19 complications at age 84. I absolutely love his music and iconic piano style. One of his collaborations with Brian Eno, “The Pearl” has an assured place in my all time favorite albums. He also made some beautiful...

Re: Lyra-8 'Organismic' ambient synthesizer
Also, I think you would need a pedal that can output up to 12v to get the full delay time range, so the DOD or other true cv pedal with 9v supply would likely only get into low end of the range.

Re: Lyra-8 'Organismic' ambient synthesizer
See my added note. Maybe one of the other Lyra owners can suggest a pedal they have found to work. I haven’t used the cv ins on mine yet. Edit: you might look for a used DOD FX-17 pedal. Multi function pedal that has an internal 9v battery and can output 0-5 volts apparently. Saw several under $100 ...
