Re: New gear from Moog, what would you like to see happen.?
I like the idea of MOOG slowing down to focus on support and quality control including continuing expanding and improving software/editors across the line — would be happy to see Moogfest return to Asheville with less focus on arena rock and more emphasis on learning, lectures and workshops. As far ...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.
I own a house full of Moogs and recently bought ONE (1) Behringer VC340 Vocoder which I am enjoying very much …if MOOG's SpectraVox ever becomes available I would likely buy that in a heartbeat but currently there's no other Vocoder available or announced I'm interested in I have owned quite a few v...

I'd bet MOOG are as delighted *srsly* for the praise and attention as we are watching it… i thought I was going to give it a miss but after watching this I will probably grab a DFAM tomorrow, now :hihi: …and YES! :tu: Steve is amazing what a great guy, and super talent. b9 has your answer in their AVATAR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tVYWJKscEc DR-770 is a BOSS unit - no joke :nana: The way I see it, there simply is not a single modular sequencer that offers the immediate, rythm-orientated handling like some of the more popular grooveboxes do. I'd second that, r...

Yer 'Munchma Quchi' is growing on me, Lisa… :yay: DIVINOL ~ Personally, I used to hate all 'grooveboxes' and drum machines but now I think they are ALL _very_ *very* cool the bottom line is …fundamentally they havent changed nearly as much as my perspective on them has I can't comment on IN PRODUCTI...

100% — the Easel color scheme is exactly what it reminded me of and it's where I will put mine, next to my Easel in front of the Eurocases and Grandma won't need a CVGT module to speak european, either 8-) Love the look and - holy smokes! …that sound I can hardly wait for mine to get here :nana: I t...

oh i LOVE this! thanks :yay: by "built" you mean you just stuck a jack in the clip? :hihi: ie …no soldering necessar, right? If I need to tune vcos together, I just use my ear. When I need to tune to a specific pitch, I use one of a bunch of tuners I have laying around - I'm kind of a tuner junky, t...

WILD I NEVER HEARD OF A TUNER MODULE …oops all caps sorry Thanks! How is that different from using an external iPhone app /Guitar Tuner I would assume a simple sine wave is the cleanest signal out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ …but then they don't all do necessarily do sine waves Together, as in matching each other? Tuning VCOs to each other & A440?
HOW DO You tune VCOS together?
What's the quickest easiest way?
Is it possible to do it without relying on a MIDI connection to the VCO?

This is so strange - that I FINALLY :yay: got the calibration to work for me at least ONCE -temporarily - by patching ES 8 OUT 1 to CV 1 and ES 8 OUT 2 to CV VARY on the Analogue Systems RS-95E back in to ES 8- IN 1. <shrug> isn't that weird? I was so thrilled to be playing notes on it finally ~ wow...

HOW MANY ADAT CABLES do I need to configure this correctly given that es 3, 6 & 7 are already connected at back? Not entirely clear what you're asking. If you have the ES-8 in an aggregate with another audio interface, and connect the ES-3/6/7 to the ES-8, that will give you 12 ins and 16 outs. USIN...

no nada nothing else on audio tracks other then what I wrote above However, I discovered that if I set OUTPUT (not sidechain but in the main channel strip that usually defaults to MAIN 1-2) to the same 31-32 that ES 8 1& 2 output to I WILL get action in the SW VC Calibration window and audible VCO s...

Still no joy with the SW VC anywhere however, some good news - perhaps - using the same OUTPUT #1 as in above trials I successfully got the LFO working by adding the PLUG-IN to the AUDIO Track of ES-8 on INPUT 1 and tweaking parameters there [just the regular LFO btw - the Step LFO didn't work ~I be...

YES - I believe AUDIO works in both directions - if I select and designate ES-89 output I can hear it or record it on another track As far as SW LFO - if I add it in the channel strip of the AUDIO out from the Modular generating a single continuous tone - there is no audible difference but the TOP w...

SWEET :hyper: you have the ES-8 in an aggregate with another audio interface, and connect the ES-3/6/7 to the ES-8, that will give you 12 ins and 16 outs. I have my ES-6 and ES-7 connected with ES-3 over ADAT at the moment If I add the new ES-8 to these modules will they work together in an aggregate independently without having to connect over ADAT to the audio interface they're currently attached to? How many I/O channels would this ES group provide...
