Re: FLUX - Temporal Modulation Rhythm Sequencer Launching Soon on Kickstarter

Wow this looks REALLY interesting. I like what I’m hearing and the method of programming certainly looks like it’s easy to come up with happy accidents, on purpose .
The name hmmmm flux is such a tacky name ;) love it

I haven’t had any real issue with the value pick up, if you turn a knob the leds on the left hand side indicate position.

Ok so I’m gonna ask, and please everyone be nice ... what sort of stuff would you like me to show in a video of it. I’m gonna be shooting more videos of it (because I want to not because I’m paid to or anything else). So I figure I’ll ask, what sort of things do you feel like you wanna see from it? ...

My slightly odd but relevant first question would be, what is the humidity in the room and do you have very dry skin? Seriously try some lotion on your hands. If that doesn’t help then I’d bet on a messed up ribbon cable or something internal. Sunlight should play no part in any of this

Now I just need Nick to wrap up his review so I can see how well it PWMs and how long the reverb tails. 4 types of pwm (I walked nick through it a bit the other day, I think he is tiring of the joke haha). I’ll have to double check but I wanna say reverb full length (before going into infinite free...

I guess tobb's objection is that exposed upward facing sockets are prone to dust and liquid entry? no “influencers” were paid it wasnt a “you must release at this time.... Look, we're just tired of these guys pretending to be un-biased and independent. They get paid by Youtube ads and they need to ...

I’m mobile so I doubt my links will work how I want... but seeing as this is MW I figured I’d be safe posting my nerdy videos here. I was involved early in the voicing process of this synth so I figured I would show what the mutants do. Really they do so much it’s hard to show it all and of course o...

Total shitty design...cv gate jacks on the top panel...lol Its of course cheaper then making another pcb that has to fit at the back with a ribbon cable.. I prefer the CV jacks on the top panel. 1) not at all a cost cutting measure, this was the design decision day one. 2) you would want cv where? ...

Deepest sympathy goes to mikes family. I had the good fortune of meeting Mike in person and getting to share an evening with him. I expressed how thankful the community and I am for what he has built. I hope this forum endures for many many years to come as a lasting legacy. Rest peacefully

how much fun it is to just whip out the box and jam around. You really can't beat that. Yeah it's fun but if you want to use the machine in a full track you 'll probably have to sample it anyway, so it's more of a toy if it doesn't have meaningful pattern control over MIDI (which it probably won't)...

I am loving my MPC live for the most part. I think a lot of what I dislike will come in future updates. The envelopes are pretty terrible but I am hoping they add more in the future. the sound of the machine is pretty nice but I do find you have to be very careful about headroom in the unit. just si...

I'll ask my friends about this later but figured I would ask here as well. Does force suffer from the same lack of midi channel assigning as the mpc? I was working on somethings this week and the lack of being able to tell an external sequencer or synth to control a program that I was not focused on...

to great to hear! as for the media center area, I think some choice modular artist CD's would be in order, couple that with a few bluerays running the usual modular and synth based documentaries. maybe keep a curated youtube playlist of great modular talks I can think of quite a few books to list. s...

I'd say the main gripe for me looks wise would be the orange knobs. The previous prototypes the orange knobs made sense because the artwork above the keyboard wasn't there, it was an orange strip the same as the sides on the drumbrute impact... So it matched. Now they are just lone orange elements. ...

a few points, 1) "why wasn't brute factor included it would sound better blah blah... " No , I really strongly disagree. the filter in the MF is a SEM style filter and smooth yet punchy resonance. some of the digital modes can get grungy and I really don't thing a raw brute factor type sound would a...

Been using my MPC live a ton, made some expansions on it (Keygroup stuff) My main gripes seem to be really getting taken care of with updates. They seem agressive about that stuff now. I just REALLY wish they would fix the midi so that it was properly midi channel with external gear. Right now you c...
