What exactly is AI about the Amoeba?

Re: FX AID - multi audio effect module

Sorry if this has been covered. If I'm using this in a purely mono setup, what do you recommend doing for the stereo output algorithms? Just take one output (which one?) or do I need to sum them outside the module somehow?

Re: Riddle me this: 3U skiff with linear power supply, shrouded headers

Thanks folks. Will check out the Tall Dog ones. Seem quite reasonably priced. I'm not totally wedded to linear, but the Meanwell isn't working for me. Or maybe I have a bad board. But it's been back to Intellijel once already and I am sick of troubleshooting during my music-making time. Meanwhile, m...

Re: Qu-Bit Nebulae v2

Just curious—what cases and power supplies are people using with their N2? I’m getting tons of noise in a case powered by with an Intellijel TPS-80, but it’s dead quiet in an old Monorocket case with a linear PSU.

Riddle me this: 3U skiff with linear power supply, shrouded headers

Does such a thing even exist any more? I put an Intellijel TPS 80 in my old Pittsburgh modular Move 104, and it's fine for analog modules but I'm finding I'm getting unusable amounts of noise from digital modules. Pop them in my old Monorocket 6U, and they're dead silent. But I am looking for a 3U c...

Re: Playability and build quality of Matrix Mixers -- 4ms Doepfer and Low Gain

Dubmatrix is rock solid. my mind had a hard time computing which knob controlled what, but i found it easier after i color coded the columns of knobs. i have to ask, what type of music/sound are you performing with a matrix mixer? fx sends? or more experimental stuff like feedback patches? Not any ...

Re: Playability and build quality of Matrix Mixers -- 4ms Doepfer and Low Gain

i never liked that design on that nlc module, jacks in-between pots... i cant imagine preforming with that when its heavily patched. i have two of the passive, stand alone version of that big low gain matrix mixer. i like them a lot, doesn't have the switches and main input row attenuators but and ...

See my post here: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=226841&p=3321879#p3321879 It's based on an alt firmware (Technobear) but might work on Qubit's version -- just some small code changes and now I can record without hearing the input. Thanks! Does this mean that it is constantl...

Re:

I get the feeling that the Nebulae was not primarily designed to be a live effects unit. I've been using my Neb live and the latency is slightly annoying, but I'm always running it from an aux send so it's not a big deal. What bothers me more is that there's no way to turn off the input monitoring ...

Re: Playability and build quality of Matrix Mixers -- 4ms Doepfer and Low Gain

Thanks for the replies everyone. @deftinwulf--is there an issue with the red panels, or you just don't like the colour?

I am have long since given in to the visual chaos of Eurorack, but I'm a phase of childish rebellion against tiny knobs and crowded panels, hence my interest in the Dub Matrix.

Playability and build quality of Matrix Mixers -- 4ms Doepfer and Low Gain

Thinking it's time for WYSIWYG matrix mixer. On the 4MS VCAM, are the tiny knobs really ok for finer adjustments of level if your fingers aren't also tiny? And how is the build quality? Firm or wobbly? The Doepfer A-138m seems well spaced but there are no mutes. The Low Gain Dub Matrix looks to be t...

Matrix Mixer for mostly non-modular stuff: how important is voltage control to you?

Like the title says. I'm setting up a little pedal-and-Euro improv station featuring a Blooper (pedal, with CV in), H9 (can also be controlled with CV) and Nebulae v2. Inputs will be guitar, but I won't be shy about loading up the Nebulae with sounds as well down the road. This will live in the effe...

After looking at the In-rack mixer options, I decided many small are better than one big. You may find the same thing with sequencers. (I’m a Vector user but I’m a longtime Numerology user).

recommend a mixer case

I'm wondering about setting up a mixer case where I have everything fastened down: Linnstrument, Computer, synths, and guitar pedals. (I play both bass/guitar and synth). But I'm wondering what to get. There are occasionally photos like in old John L Rice threads, but I'm wondering what people use a...
