Agreed.
I believe, the Planar is the best joystick the world has ever seen.
I dare say it pushes eurorack on the 200e territory a bit.
@Dob Interesting to know your impressions from the TPF, compared to a 5U version of the module.

Re: R*S CROCODILE
Surprised no one mentioned the new oscillator, which is something we know nothing about, unlike other modules, and which looks very interesting!
Matthias, could you, please, share some info? Regarding module’s right section and its outputs, if I got the idea.

Re: Opinions: New (Korg) Arp 2600 or Serge Animoo panel
I’m afraid, lots (if not all) of wigglers and modular enthusiasts would hate me, but I’d choose a Serge over a 2500, let alone 2600. Indeed, it’s a matter of taste, but I find the Serge system most capable for almost every task. It’s not only about vision or interface (the thing about Buchla) - it’s...

Re: Low frequency texture
right, definitely ResEQ too. When I heard the module for the first time, I realised I can record one Emptyset album a day. Although, the ResEQ sounds a lot more organic, live, even "acoustic" to me, unlike Emptyset's brickwall distorted dead stuff. To the OP: all sorts of feedbacks (with some beati...

Re: Patching between linear and switching power supplies?
Intellijel power supplies are generally considered very quiet as far as I know, so I was quite surprised to get any noise from a NLC module. I've heard rumors that Intellijel is coming out with a new power supply in early 2021 that will be even quieter though, so I might also hold out for that. I d...

Re: Patching between linear and switching power supplies?
No problems here. Some modules are just a bit too sensitive to noisy switching PSU's for various reasons. I haven't tested the Intellijel one, but there are some decent switching PSU's that would save you a lot of space in your case and provide enough clean power for all your needs. In 2020 "linear ...

I’m also curious about this TWS-258 combo and its use other than the audio-rate mod, that Charlie already mentioned.

Re: Twin Peak Filter von Rob Hordijk aka 3D-VCF / Oszi
That's a little issue that I do agree with. I even asked the designer himself, if any improvements could be done. Some time after I just got used to it and never had a problem since then. Even if I touch it or a cable does, I can easily go back and it's still faster, than tweaking knobs. It is defin...

I'm hoping R*S do a Frequency Shifter for Euro at some point. Looks like a fun module. Batchas has done a lot of youtube videos with it on his channel. You may possibly reach Charlie (Loudest Warning) instead. He is up to some vintage/custom/unique designs. As for the RS, I remember them teasing th...

Thank you too! Yes, this module is perfect for modal synthesis. You are describing it perfectly, I think. Very intrigued to try the whole Rob Hordijk system one day. Sad news about the joystick! I think it was a brilliant decision to put it on a module with so many interconnections, not only making ...

Re: random*source love
One good thing about the VCFS is the two inputs it has. You can feed an output through some other processors and back into the other input. Things can get pretty wild. Something like this: https://vimeo.com/48278166 As for the 3U-4U holy war, I'd like to call a 3U setup "a poor man's choice", while...

you guys have this on you twin peaks filter (joystick version) as well? Exactly the same. Thanks for checking, though! Regarding your previous question about getting a second module, some people in this thread have both and seem pretty happy. I'd get the joystick version, if I already had a resonat...

I'm slightly hearing the mod signal (env sweep, for instance), when patched into CV. Is this normal? Didn't notice this at first. A bit annoying sometimes

Re: SERGE DUSG Patching Techniques
I think Genzo3 didn't mean the feedback loop operation. As far as I understand, he is trying the opposite thing - to close the vca once the level exceeds some value, in other words, once ResEQ starts oscillating (which has a drastic change in levels). So, in this case VCM works just like a normal vc...

Re: NEW from La 67: LR4 VC Crossover
So, after spending some months with the module, I must admit I'm using it in almost every patch. Its versatility and precision is what I got it for, but I never thought I'll be using it that often and so differently every time! Very clever design. Even the cv normalisation makes a lot of sense. I tr...

Re: SERGE DUSG Patching Techniques
Hi! I recently added a DUSG to my euro Serge/Random*Source case. I'm trying to use the DUSG together with the RESEQ to control the level of feedback. I'm using it to measure the volume of sound and to apply a negative compensation CV in the upper part of the VCM. If the feedback goes wild, the CV i...

I would also strongly recommend to consider LW for the custom and mods, especially if you are making a shift from euro, which seems a bit more flexible in terms of modules combination. Other than that Edelweiss II is the one you can't go wrong with, no matter what tasks you are going to perform. I t...

Re: AC-coupled VCAs
WMD MMVCA is a very clever module. Never use its ac-dc switch, but use all of its other functions in every patch. Besides, it’s a good one, if not best, for smaller systems and costs almost nothing.
Definitely worth reading it’s manual at least

Great story indeed! I'd add to this the sound of wind, where modulars often come in handy, especially when you need a certain wind.
Sounds like Synthi is very special at recreating nature sounds!
