Re: CV controlled patching - can it be done?

Also shouldn't it be a 3PDT switch?

Re: CV controlled patching - can it be done?

you need a DP3T toggle switch. wire it up the same as the faders would have been. Hmm.. All Dp3T switches I can find has three positions, On-On-on for example: (https://www.mouser.se/ProductDetail/E-Switch/EG2301A?qs=7Bi7Dg8SEnwn%2F%252BqraI7vUA%3D%3D) . I guess need one with only two positions.

Re: CV controlled patching - can it be done?

Decided against cv controll mainly because the parts count became to high. Want to achieve the same thing with a toggle switch. How do I do that? 🤔

Re: CV controlled patching - can it be done?

Also shouldn't this be different: "Route MainIn to 1in or 2in Route 1out to 2in or MainOut Route 2out to 1in or MainOut" If 1out and 2out are both going to mainout at the same time (panned right) things should really get wierd? When Xfader B is panning Mainout (Right) Xfader C should be panning 1in ...

I understand but 2 out and main out are the same in my schematics, both are end of the line... do I need two outputs?

Re: CV controlled patching - can it be done?

So check me, I still have questions. Fader A Input from filter in fades between Main input jack (panned left) and Final output jack (panned right). Fader B INput from VCA 1 (that's the stage after the filter) panns between filter output (panned left) and Main input jack (panned right) Fader C This i...

Re: CV controlled patching - can it be done?

yes I'm aware of possible feedback. So perhaps I place one of the points before the VCA and another after just to avoid that. Might sound cool too.

Re: CV controlled patching - can it be done?

I want to crossfade it, it is in my own schemartic, it is a huge filterbank so don’t want to duplicate it.

CV controlled patching - can it be done?

Hi there. I'm designing a circuit at the moment where I kinda want to move the filter section from being first in the chain to be absolutly last in the chain using CV AND a switch. Basically it is a input to a filter to a vca hen to a bunch of filters a bunch of reverbs (labeled 1,2,3) and an output...

Recursive Machine Build Thread

Can’t beleive this one doesn’t have its own thread yet. I just love how this sounds, high quality build as always from Zthee. https://youtu.be/YXHGJ2M0hYc And https://youtu.be/E-k1Vc_dl0Q I’ve built it and absolutely love it! More info here (he still have some kits available) https://thehumancompara...

Re: Help me develop a bandpass gate!

Thanks. Tried a VCA after my qpas (in mono) last night and it sounded much better than VCA before filter. So I'm going to try this approuch. State variable filter with bandpass only straight into a VCA sharing the same CV. Should be fun!

Re: Help me develop a bandpass gate!

Thank you Jerk best and most informative answer yet.

Filter followed by vca is what I will try first. And let them share the same cv in I suppose. What is the most simple vca curcuit one can find?

Re: Help me develop a bandpass gate!

ok so in theory what I want to do is: 1. Convert this layout to vactrols, or even better LED/LDR design: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sallen%E2%80%93Key_topology#/media/File:VCVS_Filter_Bandpass_General.svg 2. And when done, convert Clee's design with it. I dont know where to begin and I've been tr...

Re: Help me develop a bandpass gate!

I have, but I’m doing a gate, not a filter. Or actually plan b is a vca followed by a regular bandpassfilter.

Help me develop a bandpass gate!

Hi there. So after 7 years of building I thought I'd try to develop my first own design ( n00b flag waved). Don't know if something like a bandpass-gate exist but I need one. It will be the first circuit in the bigger scheme at the input stages. So I've always loved Clee's VC resonant gates since it...
