Re: would you recommend a modular to someone new to making music?

I feel like electronic music is all about taste and also open mindedness to radical fresh ideas and perspectives. What tool/instrument you ultimately use does not matter....but there are so many approaches its best to try as many as you can till u find the sound and/or instruments/machines that are ...

Re: Higher end/vintage small mixers

Im suddenly super seduced by the chandler limited gear....for this thread their mini rack mixer looks properly proper...and at a regular high end price not uber high end...reviews say its got the sound of a proper vintage neve console rather than just a summing mixer and with all those transformers ...

Re: Patching success rate - your comments

I do find that mid jam my judgement has often lead me to believe that im not getting anywhere and this is really not working. Regardless I do soldier on and have a good habit of recording regardless. And then lo and behold often enuf on listening back im like shit this is actually pretty decent and ...

Re: Gotharman's Little deFormer 3

I can only describe it as some kind of granular looper....at least thats how I was using it with the freeze button....make something cool happen...hit freeze and then tweak away till the cows come home for all sorts of crazy variations....It is very musical. However even when saving with the audio f...

Hemisphere Suite for Buchla

So I just noticed that Hemisphere was updated back around December to work with Buchla voltages. Has anyone tried using this on their CardOC or 2OC?

Re: Gotharman's Little deFormer 3

So ive finally started diving into sequencing CC params from LD3 and yeah some really fun results manipulating my OTO effect boxes. Some enhancements that I would like to see tho....the smooth parameter is great....but I wish there was a control for the rate of interpolation. RIght now its just a li...

TE OPZ to Bug query

Hey all, trying to connect my opZ using the oplab into my bug system using toms adapter cables.... My issue is I am getting a high pitched whine out of the opz with the ground jack connected to the bug frame...Im actually connecting the opz audio into the racked drm2. Re: Gotharman's Little deFormer 3

Hello, Anybody using the OP-Z in combo with LD3? I have a Midi question. I am trying to send midi program change. Ive never done anything like this before with midi so a little lost despite reading both manuals. The behaviour im seeking is when switching patterns of the opz I want that to select the...

Re: Advice on studio upgrade - Budget $8k

Ive just done some similar type upgrades to my studio, I too was really deciding between the overstayer modular channel and silver bullet. Due to them both only being available in the USA I decided to avoid a hefty customs and shipping bill and purchased an SSL fusion locally. So far Im really diggi...

Thank you for this update flemming...much appreciated!

I am having an issue with sending MIDI out. The LD3 knobs are sending CC out by default on the main screen so it affects the externally synced machines parameters without me wanting it that way. Is there someway to disable this?

Just checked the BAM Thru mode out a bit. If you don't you use any gain and filters and slowly increase pre-delay and size you can create a great phase effect. Take a simple arp line and slow increase and it takes you into minimal territory. This sounds awesome must try it...always wished the Bam h...

Re: Ableton Live- I cannot believe how bad the Arranger is !

You have to press Shift + Space to resume from where you stopped...] Dayumm....thx for that. Ya live really sux for the way I work...which is hours of no BPM multitrack synth recordings which I then tediously edit down to digestible size. But Im stuck for now as I have loads of recordings on there ...
