Re: Your no-sequencer set-up and how you work with it

Using the 2 osc, 2 lfo + gate delay system I stumbled upon what I now know as feedback patching and found this space to be most interesting for composition generation. I could make evolving rhythmic and melodic structures by chain...

Re: 288r TIME DOMAIN PROCESSOR - PREORDER

Thanks for the explanations tIB....seems like a very interesting module...only thing I wonder is how flexible the loop length setting is considering it goes up to 40 seconds of looping and there are only 3 positions to choose.

Yes I too would love to know what exactly this does besides being a delay. Not much info out there describing this in detail and there are a few parameters where I have no idea what they do.

Re: Autechre

i feel more and more that AE has sort of got to the point where they are stuck with a certain sound and not developing it further. their material from the latest years sound too homogenous and thin in a way. this may be because the same music engine is used for everything they do now. it sounds lik...

Ye I was pretty into the alb when it came out...also quite into the PC music/XCX/Sophie Hyperpop scenes for a few years now....Love pop as much as the leftfield stuff in general too so this combo of over the top glossy melodic hooks blended with hardcore, noisy and weird electronica is quite appeali...

Re: would you recommend a modular to someone new to making music?

I feel like electronic music is all about taste and also open mindedness to radical fresh ideas and perspectives. What tool/instrument you ultimately use does not matter....but there are so many approaches its best to try as many as you can till u find the sound and/or instruments/machines that are ...

Re: Higher end/vintage small mixers

Im suddenly super seduced by the chandler limited gear....for this thread their mini rack mixer looks properly proper...and at a regular high end price not uber high end...reviews say its got the sound of a proper vintage neve console rather than just a summing mixer and with all those transformers ...

I do find that mid jam my judgement has often lead me to believe that im not getting anywhere and this is really not working. Regardless I do soldier on and have a good habit of recording regardless. And then lo and behold often enuf on listening back im like shit this is actually pretty decent and ...

Re: Gotharman's Little deFormer 3

I can only describe it as some kind of granular looper....at least thats how I was using it with the freeze button....make something cool happen...hit freeze and then tweak away till the cows come home for all sorts of crazy variations....It is very musical. However even when saving with the audio f...
