Re: Put your Album Release into this Thread!

Isn'tses "Quarantinoise" - all tracks edited + mastered from our recent lockdown livestreams. Spacenoise jams with more guitar, synths and other gear than our live shows, nice to play the stuff we can never lug to a gig IRL :) https://isntses.bandcamp.com/album/quarantinoise Check out http://isntses...

Re: Ornament + Crime

Embarrassed to report that after lots of troubleshooting and case-rearranging, my aforementioned noise problem seems like it was more to do with the OLED of some $2 chinese function generator i'd kludged into a module, not that of the O_c itself (-___-;)

Re: Amen Break Chopping/Mangling in Eurorack?

The Ladik Rom Player has a couple of Amen break sample chips available, also there's a couple of alternate firmwares for Ginkosynthese Grains which can do amen chopping. I used 'framen' and modified the code to add pitch control, i think since then there are other better options out there, need to h...

Also Reverb is a specific website which hasn't even existed as long as Eurorack has. The increase in eurorack sales on Reverb could partly be an increase in eurorack sellers joining the site and starting to sell stuff there rather than here/modulargrid/ebay etc, rather than an increase in people sel...

Oh right, I see now that you were talking about the power cables :D I thought you meant something to do with the Drum Boy / Drum Girl modules I think it's correct, the 'pins' of the shrouded headers are 'male' and the holes on the plug 'female'... confusing but i think that's the conventional way to...

thanks for the info. Do you mean they replaced the 22ufs on the power section with 100uF? I just tried bodging 2x 100uFs in parallel with the existing 22ufs (as i don't want to desolder anything right now) but it didn't seem to effect the problem, I still get the same noise. You'd have to check the...

Any similar experiences? Troubleshooting/fix ideas of any kind would be much appreciated. Could post more details soon Yeah, there have been similar reports but mostly anecdata and IIRC no common thread. The power situation will definitely be a factor. The Buchla versions added a 100u (or more?) ca...

Finally got round to building my o_C from a panel and PCB i was given. It seems to work function-wise but does seem to cause some interference, very noticable in the self-oscillating filters I use as VCOs. Not yet figured out if thats some problem with the o_C build or my cheap and nasty power situa...

Ah, I would have thought sampling toys was a lofi project. I'd probably record them on my microcassette to make them sound even better. the point of adding line outs to toys (circuit bent or otherwise) is that the 'lo-fi' nature of the sounds is often mostly due to the tiny speaker, you can get all...

Before I invent it myself is there any schematic for adding an op amp to boost Grains to a more normal eurorack level (without inverting)? I saw something elsewhere that used a transistor but wasn't sure if it would work properly and would rather use op amps.

Finally got round to building my Feedback Modules Pre CR, it's a clone of an Mackie 1202 channel strip I think, gain, eq and volume controls, really great sounding distortion, intended for emulating some classic acid techno overdrive or whatever but totally perfect for noise purposes too

I've been really curious about this and close to buying one but I'm now guessing it's probably just three rotary encoders and a normalled 5v offset!?
