Re: Oberheim SEM 100% clone (interest check)

Very interested.

Looks like a really lovely project.

SEMs are difficult to find these days and I believe Tom Oberheim only has the OB6 in production at the moment so it would be good to still have access to that sound.

Re: Project PRO2021 - A Pro-One keyboard synth

Thanks for the info guys.

Very informative.

Up to now I have always used solid for everything as it found it easier to work with.

Always learning!

Re: Project PRO2021 - A Pro-One keyboard synth

Hey guys

For all the power related wiring. Are people using solid or stranded core wire?

Or does it not really matter?

Thanks.

Re: CEM3340 Pulse Oscillation Issue

Wow. I have 2 fonik VCO Maximus with the same problem.

Driving me nuts.

Could you Maybe post a Nice picture of your fix?

Just to confirm, you have a 0.1 cap between pin 14 and ground?

Which side is the positive leg of the cap on?

Cheers.

Why are there two zero volts?

Hey guys

About to start my 5u system after years in eurorack DIY and have a question.

On the PSU there are 2 zero volts.

0VA and 0VB

Why do we need 2?

Sorry for the silly question it’s just I have not come across this before

Cheers.

Guys Received box no 9 in the post today. To the UK. Wow! The pictures don’t do this justice. The panel looks amazing (and massive, this is no micro brute) the mod wheels almost feel like they should be displayed on a mantle piece rather than wasted in a synth, and all the Components look top notch....

I’m in the same position regarding the keyboard.

I was waiting until I got my pcbs (in customs) before I ordered parts.

If anyone knows any other sellers that would be great.

Cheers.

Hey Fuzz Thanks for looking into it for me Good to hear it’s a feature and not an issue I think I may do your suggested mod. At the moment I do find, with the filter trimmed as per the manual, that the filter closes very quickly on the slider. To my ears at least. Your mod might give me a bit more s...

Thanks Elmegil and Fuzzbass for the quick response. Envelope issue: Ill try buffering my gate before it hits the AR. If that doesn't help I will replace the Diode. I have a gate booster but never installed it as my kenton pro 1 outputs a 11V gate and separate trigger that (i thought) was doing the t...

Hey guys So I have had my TTSH Rev 1 complete a few years now. There have been a few things that have bothered me but not enough to open her up again. Some I have realised are as design (exp vca level) but some I think are genuine (minor) issues and wanted to check if others had experienced them. I ...

I would also like the CPU and knobs shipped together with the PCBs if this is not too much hassle.

It would save a lot on shipping and duty to Europe (I am UK based)

Cheers.

Looks amazing.

And looks like a simple build as it’s all chip based.

I don’t think I’d be as interested if it was just a module or desktop but the fact that this is a chance to build a full keyboard monosynth is very cool.

And not something you see much (ever) in the SDIY world?

Woo hoo!

Been following this for a while and although I promised no more synths... I would like a set also. Price dependant. I fear shipping that case from US To EU could be expensive, especially after duty etc. I don’t need wood ends as I can make my own. I would buy a cable harness if offered but if not ca...

Hey guys

I am using an arp 1601 that is clocked via trigger outs from my Analogue Solutions europa.

I find that when the 1601 is clocked externally, the Pulse width and FM no longer work (which is annoying)

Is this a feature of the design or do i have a fault?

Cheers.

Guys

Does anyone know if moog or their service centres are still replacing these boards won’t the faulty ICS.

I am thinking of buying a voyager 2nd hand but it is one of the serial numbers that has an issue so I am weary in case it breaks down and they no longer do the repair.

Thanks as always.

thanks for the info guys

I really hate sourcing parts!

From the pictures the PCB looks very straight forward and the build guide is very good

Look forward to building this as I haven't soldered any modules for months!

Does anyone know if these are still being made?

Sweetwater says “no longer available” and they are no longer on the Tom Oberheim webpage.
