Re: RE-606

sunflower and I have communicated, but honestly pretty slow responses. I'll post looking for a preprogrammed pixie - good idea, thanks.

Re: RE-606

I have. Went so far as to build another unit with fresh parts to rule out amy fuck up that I couldn’t find. Using usb uno and sysex librarian slow with pauses. First half of the send there are no lights, second half everything lights up except steps 11-15. Then out again once done. Sequencer doesn’t...

[quote=Purveyor2 post_id=3324101 time=1597245183 user_id=13159] I’m about to start mine while I wait on parts to finish up my RE-303. Does the delay function of the lfo work in HF mode? Could be awesome for FM stuff.

Re: [AVAILABLE] TTSH V4 Build Thread

I’m back with oscillator calibration issues. Originally I had one VCO board that would track about 3 octaves, the other 2 would only go about one octave. Did some troubleshooting to no avail. The “good” board exhibited same behavior in all three osc slots. Got a fresh set of osc pcbs and rebuilt. Ch...

Re: U.D.O. Super 6 hybrid "binaural" poly

I guess my point is if you remove the sample instruments they are similar in architecture. DDS1 is clearly better/novel, but PX has more modulation and is bitimbral. Filter/vca/keybed the same.

Re: U.D.O. Super 6 hybrid "binaural" poly

Anyone spent any time with the S6 and the prophet x? I’m having a hard time deciding - digital osc through same analog backend. Same keybed. Spent time with PX, quantum and Moog one when they all came out. PX was my fav for ease of use and quick creation of useful sounds. But the S6 seems more invit...

No surprise really, since the build costs about as much as just buying a used one (and more than buying a TT-606). Per...

That wasn’t it. Pulled and verified the resistors 16-20, re-verified power, ic positions, tranny orientation, etc. reflowed, cleaned. 🤔

MOTM 310 tracking .5V/oct

Built a synthcube kit. Easy build, parts look correct but it’s tracking 2 octaves/volt. Any thoughts?

Re: E-Licktronic Nava 909 clone

I had related issues with my own DIY clone (noise was present all the time) and it came down to a cold solder point on an IC socket (the one corresponding to IC34), which was responsible for the envelope. Try swapping IC34 against IC37(VCO1) and IC35 against IC38(VCO2) to see if it is a faulty OpAm...

Re: E-Licktronic Nava 909 clone

Trannies are oriented correctly. It sounds kinda like a ground loop, though I can turn off the noise with snappy knob and the oscillators continue to drone but tune knob works. Trigger signal present, envelopes 2,3,5 had been difficult to see on scope - but clearly present last night.

Re: E-Licktronic Nava 909 clone

Update on voicing problems: Low Tom perpetual decay - always confirm component values! Brand new bag of .68uf electrolytic capacitors from tayda, filled with 22uf caps. Replaced and all fixed. High Tom wouldn’t sound - no trigger coming from IC 112. Pin 2 of the IC not working, swapped and fixed. Ri...
