Not sure if this fits in this thread but I was just playing around with 'datamoshing' video compression artifacts for the first time:

Cool! :sb: I'd like to hear it on string-pad chords if at all possible and to see how intelligible it can get with words. :hyper:

Thank-you! The sounds are from a Yamaha RS-7000 production/workstation thing. The synthesis in it is pretty standard for late 90's style digital stuff but I'm using it because I like the workflow and I'll be away from my modular for quite sometime. Like you I dig a lot of those metallic and glassy s...

Sorry default I only saw your post now. I only got footage of the first half of the INC. I did start with the idea of trying to film everything but then it was too much of a marathon and after a while I just wanted to listen. I regret it but lots of others were filming anyway. The last video was fro...

B-Twixt (featuring The Friendly Little Gecko)

Not modular but using an RS-7000 which is a bit of a cult-classic sequencer 'round these parts (& bass :bananaguitar:).

Thanks for posting this! That was a great read.

I like the direction his recent releases have gone in. 'Sleep' under the Last Step alias is such an amazingly deep album - get if you haven't got it.

At today's Vicmod meet John from Mungo patched up some string synthesis type sounds combining Karplus Strong techniques AND Comb Filtering on each channel of the same d0 delay unit (with lots of feedback on each incorporated in with m0 mixer modules). Thanks! I've only scratched the surface myself so far but the swing and MIDI delay controls have me frothing at the gills (if that is even an expression)!

CRLCLYCS [RS7000]

First track while learning to use an RS7000, just exploring the internal synth engine thus far. The idea will be to control external gear but I do like the internal sounds none-the-less.
