Easy enough fix thru expansion cards - Portabellaz or DIY.

Re: A "new" Buchla 265!

Well given the electro music site Roman clones et al, this group should be the last to throw stones at a builder at this point. Let Ezra or BUSA follow up on any IP issues. I say if Findlay is so motivated so be it. Regarding design police - ha! It’s a free country in principal. Go for it man.

Re: Why buy used at recent market prices?

Reverb has been terrible lately. I was in the market for a Shure mic that is $399 new and all the used mics were selling at $360-450! Plus you have taxes and shipping on top. You can usually get what you want with an offer including ship at 70-80% new but you have to be patient. There used to be an ...

Beautiful recording - did not realize this was such an expressive stand alone instrument. How many voices are within the lightning and are they presets in memory or triggered off board?

Re: Buchla Easel Command: volumes of channel A and channel B differ

Also I would not drive the individual channels full open. I suggest about 75% (3:00 o’clock) on outputs A and B and start with the Master at the same level. Gives more headroom overall and room to adjust for the differences in output dB you noted.

Re: When are you gonna make REAL music? .. AND GET A DANGED HAIRCUT!!

There is something to be said about making a complete work and honing it into a finished piece versus noodling around and tinkering with formats and setups. Sometimes it is hard to hit record button let alone set levels, fire-up the computer and then do multiple takes to get the sound right and sync...

Re: Help needed with buying new strings for acoustic guitar

For general acoustic guitar use I prefer medium Phosphor Bronze strings for brightness, long lasting clarity, ringing tones. My favorites are Martin, Curt Mangan, or Earthwood Ernie Balls 12-56 string sets. These can be purchased online from $5.99 a set. I prefer using heavier strings for National r...

Re: Switchcraft Tini-Jax overmolded cables availability?

Ha! TiniJax is the RCA Black Plate 6L6 GC of small connectors. You know the impossibly unobtainable object of desire that just sounds and feels so good, so right just knowing it’s there makes you sigh.

Re: Small Stone

I have Mike Muffwiggler’s early 1980’s Small Stone he sold me on the BST a while back. The Small Stone was my first guitar effect I ever bought. Mike’s is a nice piece that reminds me of him every time I plug it in and make a swoosh with it. A great little box like so many other EHX pedals.

Here you go. Type B. No Keystep. Use it with the poly. Cheap. Free ship. Looks like the same unit as the Malekko.

Saw Gil a few times. Irony that he succumbed to the ills he sang about. Loved this man and artist. The updated final record with extras out on xl is tremendous. RIP GSH.

There are elements of synthesis modules in Beebo with one OSC, VCA and filters. The pedal's primary usefulness IMHO is as an effect with modular control and implementation.

Re: Dual Programmable Oscillator & Studio H Podcast

Seeing Doug pickup his new 18U 200e system (with many empty spaces) from Don and Jon Schatz at the 2009 AHE in the Maker Dojo in Mountain View nailed it for me. I put in an order through Jon later that Fall. The rest is history for me. Thanks Doug for all your great work advancing this quirky elegan...
