I'd be interested in buying but before you sell I'd ask you to please reconsider this module. I believe this module is intended to be just a part of a group of modules. I imagine it would be great to create wave or thunder sounds. The crackle could trigger an envelope generator and filter which shap...

So has anyone else played with (melody) yet? It's very strange! It's kind of like the coco delay. You can put anything into the input like bar or corp. but it only likes positive numbers. Here's what I did: (horn 55 66 (melody (add (arab (bar)) (bar (square (bar -128) 0 -128))) (wheel (barc) (bard))...

Thanks Sketcherazzi. I learn the best just poking around and trying random things. It seems so alien at first but it's actually very simple, like literally lisp is the 'simplest' language. I've managed to hook my shnth into sonic pi which introduces all kinds of possibilities, besides more voices, l...

a new shnth patch!
This short little patch is the culmination of everything I've learned about this instrument. It's something I've had in my head for a long time so I'm posting it here, hoping to get some feedback. Essentially, it's a sequencer/drum machine where the bars and corp squish the sounds. { (light...

Hey! the tocante doesn't have to sound sad! i finally recorded something. it's a few layered bistab tracks and some effects. i found some intervals that are not so minor sounding to jam on. mine arrived. these look and sound great. One WTF.....plugging in an external output does not turn off the internal speaker. That seems crazy. it's an 'androgynous' port, it both amps input and outputs signal. it's definitely strange and seems like a trading some control for simplicity. though to u...

just got my tocante bistab! i really love it. it started making sound as soon as i reached in the box. i'm enjoying the scale as well. not sure if it's the same for all (only have bistab) but a really cool aspect of the scale is these 3 tones right above the middle, that are very close in pitch, 2 o...

Definitely sounds like you'd enjoy a shnth. It's already very portable and light so I'd assume modding it to have some kind of mounted speaker wouldn't be too hard. You might fit one inside the enclosure but it'd be rather small and might mess with the corps field. Although, I'd recommend getting us...

Also these small boxes tend to be a bit reinvention of the wheel, spending a lot on r&d to make a small speaker sound big. My opinion big speakers to shift air is what you need it seems strange, but if you put the jambox on a resonant surface, like a wooden table or hollow box or something, it push...

hey i'm lovin' all this fish codes! i ended up doing a VU meter with the lights, maybe you're interested. you can add this to the end of any patch and the lights will light up with your left and right output volumes! it's not perfect, as there's audible waveforms that can remain in 'negative space' ...

jawbone jambox! it's got some kinda internal multiband compressor that really brings out the bass and compensates for the kind of unnatural levels of the shnth as well. it's far from a 'raw' or 'direct' sound but that doesn't bother me. if i'm recording or something i'll try to emulate the compressi...

I do wish the gwonzer could be used while also being able to interact with fish. Does everyone else get the same behavior where once you enable the gwonzer you can only gwonzer until your are done gwonzering? It would also be nice to have a dedicated gwonzer lane for modulation sent from within a s...

Weird. I'm the opposite. I program as a day job, too, and that's reason I like Fish, because it doesn't feel like the traditional programming I'm usually doing. I don't have to keep any reference material open to look functions up because the toolbar has it all right there. And after getting used to...

i've used mallets on the shnth, made a patch with fast and variable sample rate that made it more responsive to 'impact' rather than just squish. also the mic pics up some resonance of the wood. worked nice but yeah it's a small target, also the corps doesn't get fully utilized (its responsive to fl...
