Re: KORG miniKORG 700FS

I think the reason the price is high are the patch memories and all the AD&DA converters required to do that. I love the traveler filter on this generation of Korgs. im pretty sure they only need one ADC to monitor the panel & just mux the different controls to it. its how they did it on tthe polys...

Re: Korg Drumlogue

It's probably great, but shocking how bad that video is. Makes it sound terrible. or maybe it´s an accurate video and it just sounds terrible :hihi: BTW, after looking at the panel labels it seem that it has 4 analog voices: BD, SD, LT, HT 4 digital "fixed" voices : CH, OH, RS, CP 2 sample voices 3...

Re: 90s synths going for peanuts...

One thing I don't like about the Prophecy is that the LFO's can't be synced with MIDI clock. this broke my heart back in the 90s...really With 4 full-featured LFOs and almost modular connectivity, this was a real disappointment for the kind of music I made. I made a conversion table that was accura...

Why isn't the vector joystick to the left of the keybed? Like, I know the reason, they just plopped the other wavestate into this chassis but c'mon..
yep, this is ridiculous...looks like the kind of mod I could do :hihi:

Exactly what are these "fake nuts" that some of these posts are mentioning. (sigh) Yes, your reply can include the text "deez nuts" along with your explanatory photo. Please proceed. Apparently the nuts holding the patch inputs on the MS20 Minis were just molded on the case rather than being actual...

Re: 90s synths going for peanuts...

Just bought a prophecy for 199€, not sure how good / bad a deal it is, but I'm liking it so far! Back in 1996 I sold a Juno 106 and CS-20M to purchase it! And I`m still think it was a good deal for this moment, because I don´t had access to any MIDI/CV and my only computer was an Amiga 1200, so pra...

Re: Behringer 2600

New Blue Marvin and Grey Meanie versions announced, using supposedly selected components (so not just a 2600 in a different case), single colour fader LED's and a real spring reverb, no pricing yet. Designed to replicate the rarest/first versions of the 2600. $699 [youtube]https://www.youtube.com/w...

For that price fake nuts would just be insulting imo.
even at MS20mini´s price it´s insulting... the worst part is that when you move one all the others moves too, since there is a single plastic plate with all moulded nuts in it...pathetic :foul:

I´d like to know if the nuts are real, metal ones, or just a fake, moulded plastic as in the MS-20 mini...in the picture the nuts are all suspiciously aligned.

Re: MS-20M feedback on factory mods?

Doing the OSCs outs on mine was definitely a plus. As for patch idea, well, FMing the filters obviously☺️ this! also PWM and sync Osc as a source to modulate everything! If you mean doing the PWM and sync mods, those are already present on the MS20m, by the way. I just noticed you got the "M"...

With this last two parameters, you are be able to set loops beyond the boundaries of the selected sample and scan parts of the adjacent wave data. Very cool. This is something that I only saw before in the Buchla 259e twisted waveform generator, where you can scan the whole code, and cycle parts to...

Re: Behringer VCS3

I bet they are using a way more stable oscillator core, like the 3340 or something easier to keep in tune, and then some waveshaping circuits to get the output closer to the final oscillator waves of the VCS-3. Why bother to add MIDI/USB in a hard to control synth? Then just cloned the filter and ot...
