Re: Guitar pedal send/return pedal thing

I ran into problems using a regular patchbay with stereo pedals. If you have the stereo ins and outs of a pedal hooked up to the patchbay, the pedal expects a stereo input signal. If you only send a mono signal in it was still processing a stereo input, but only getting mono. The patchbay was tricki...

Re: DUSG Help!

ok i'm double checking components and it looks like I have used C557B. These are installed following the layout on the board. The pinout of these looks like it is reversed in comparison to BC557. This would mean they are backwards. Is this correct? Also I appear to have used BC547 in place of 2n3563...

Re: DUSG Help!

No it's not reacting to triggers. When I power up the LEDs flash briefly. Some leds were also grounding out on the jack bodies, but only when the module was assembled. I think I may have the pots wired up incorrectly. Could you clarify? The left pot lug (looking at it from behind, installed in the p...

Re: DUSG Help!

OK I might as well continue with the component questions to start with. I have used 557s in place of 2N4250s,and 547s in place of 2N5089s. Both installed with the same pinout as on the boards. TL072s and LM3900s are used I have the 100k and 1n swapped out for better triggering. Thanks so much for he...

Re: DUSG Help!

OK finally getting my quadslope running with 2 of the old CGS114 boards. I'm having some issues and hope you guys/gals can help! On first power up I think the bottom fall pot lugs were shorting to the case rails. I hope that didn't damage the IC's. Was getting erratic behaviour but no actual cycling...

Re: Ring Modulator pedals?

I'm finally starting to get used to the pigtronix ringmaster. The dual pot controls are a bit annoying and make it hard to remember how to use it, and the labeling is a bit hard to read. But it has a wide range of control options and sounds great! The choice between square/sine carrier (or is it mod...

Re: MOTU Ultralite [mk4/AVB] vs. Presonus 1824c with eurorack

Not sure if mac/pc makes a difference, but I've noticed it resets to 44.1 every time you reboot on windows. Seems to be a known issue.
Hopefully a firmware update will fix it.
Also my initial try getting the virtual loopback feature failed with VCV and Bitwig. Need to try again...

Re: MOTU Ultralite [mk4/AVB] vs. Presonus 1824c with eurorack

So I ended up using the un-assignable outputs (1&2) on the 1824c for their intended purpose: a crappy speaker to test mixes on.
Works a treat!

Re: MOTU Ultralite [mk4/AVB] vs. Presonus 1824c with eurorack

I ended up with the presonus 1824c, and yes this is correct. Outputs 1&2 are a direct mirror of the main outputs. I assumed you would simply be able to re-route this in the control software, but you cannot. So you essentially get 6 assignable outputs. Not too big a deal for me. I guess I need to get...

I'm also looking into these 2 interfaces. Leaning towards MOTU, but it seems weird that there aren't any around. Still seems to be heaps of the mk3 around. I would love to hear any comments on general performance between the 2 units.

I also plan to install Audiomulch, VAZ Modular and VAZ+. Both Mulch and VAZ Mod were first released in 1998 and stopped being updated years ago. The VAZ website is gone. I was running VAZ in win7 maybe 2 years ago now. LOVED IT! Got some amazing sounds out of it. The granular oscillators are great!...
