Re: nw2s::o16 DIY SMD kit!

Here's a video... in case you are considering what it's like to build an SMD kit... of course the time lapse makes it look super easy. I should have some more kits on the way and will try to work on my video setup. Not sure the go pro works too well for details... Anyway, just wanted to share. https...

Re: End of the line

Yes - I am still making them - and quite a few others! https://nw2s.net if you want to buy direct. Stock is up to date. If you are looking for the workflow improvements and are less worried about the noise and grounding issues, the unbalanced o16 are available and I'm working on a batch of unbalance...

nw2s::o16 DIY SMD kit!

If anyone's up for a reasonably easy first or second SMD build, I'm shipping kits for the unbalanced nw2s::o16 now. 16 channels of audio outputs with fixed 6dB gain reduction on DB-25 connectors. Components are 0805 and ICs are all SOIC 1.27mm pitch. The op amps are OPA4134 in the signal path and TL...

Re: How do you connect your Eurorack synth to amp/mixer/other external equipment ?

nw2s-io and recently added in some of my new nw2s-o2-purple for primary tracking. I find that the modules are as much for workflow as they are for level and/or balancing. That will drive your choice as much as anything else.

nw2s::o16 DIY SMT kit interest?

Anyone interested in an nw2s::o16 DIY kit? It's SMT with the smallest part as 0805 and the IC's are all SOIC sized. Nearly 100 resistors capacitors and diodes plus about 10 ICs. Totally doable with some patience. Would be around $100 or so complete. I need to do another run of them assembled and hav...

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Is the DSP module still coming I saw it on the new website and got really excited. Been waiting for that ever since you posted the "freeze" demo's years ago. The new Pre's looks great as well :tu: Yeah, working on getting it running on bare metal. Everything so fa...

So would you agree that Eurorack is not really the suitable format for pro audio? I would agree that the _typical_ eurorack configuration is not suitable. Is it possible to build a system that could be used for pro-audio? Sure. It is not easy. It's also too easy to get one module that will wreak ha...

there’s an API clone coming soon. you´re not the first to point to N2WS. but - every thread that mentioned any preamp plans went dead and I haven´t been able to find any info on this on his website... I do have prototypes for a 312-type preamp with option for either discrete op amp or a good IC op ...

Crazy... my last chance - if you look at the board-to-board connectors and the board to ribbon connectors, are they all lined up? no pins exposed or anything making it look like the connections are misaligned? Assuming not, I'll reach out to you. You emailed me, so I'll reach out directly and we can...

Okay, so at this point, you are getting bleed from OSC1 into the output of OSC2 when monitored through the output directly into headphones patched to the 1/4" outputs. If OSC1 is not patched to the 'io module, but is running, does its signal still bleed into the output of OSC2? If you monitor OSC2 d...

I have had reports of the unbalanced 'io module not working in balanced patchbays before. Again, just to get to specifics... I assume the Seismic audio snake is a DB-25 to 1/4" TRS? From the patchbay, where are you going? Have you tried non-consecutive channels? Say ch1 and ch7? From the patch bay, ...

Sorry you're having trouble. The unbalanced module has a passive output circuit - meaning no electronics at all between the input and the output, so the crosstalk must be coming from somewhere else. Can you describe your setup? What case and power? What cabling and interface/mixer, etc? Thanks, Scott

Passive is fine as long as the last stage of your modular patch is a low impedance output capable of driving an array of different types of inputs and can provide a decent amount of current. Passive is less ideal if the last stage of your patch is some super old filter design that doesn't have its o...

It's possible. I'm evaluating options of possibly buffering the output rather than making it a completely passive audio circuit. I have some prototypes lining up to get sent out, and this would be among them, but isn't near completion yet. It won't be before later in the year... Oct/Nov/Dec likely. -s

No, I'm migrating to a new ecommerce platform and they'll be on there.

There's a shipment on its way to Analog Haven though!

Thanks,
