The P3 and Cirklon use Cherry MX switches like you'd find on an old mechanical keyboard. They have a light touch and are very playable.

Certainly a change of pace compared to the soft pads found on lots of recent gear.

I looked at this years ago but I think the carts when down in price making it a hard sell. It seemed like a pretty straight forward project. 8_)

It's interesting that the DJ scene kept with RCA connectors. They don't have quite as many insertion cycles as a modular, but probably more than a home hifi.

I guess the 1200s had something to do with it.

Frankly the ad infinitum are the better choice of cables if you aren't going for stackcables. I bought 16 Erthenvar and besides not liking how they 'hang' I also had 3 go bad in less than a year. I try to mostly use stackcables now, but my leftovers are only ad infinitum. Sorry about that - and I h...

New at Erthenvar: pots, force sensors, bigger knob

We have some new stuff in stock. First, what I would call fairly standard Taiwan Alpha 9mm pots in both vertical and right angle mount. They are currently available in 7 values (10kA, 50kA, 100kA, 10kB, 50kB, 100kB, 1MB), let us know if we should have others! 9mm Vertical Pots https://www.muffwiggle...

This level metering thread looks somewhat similar to what you are doing, except that it uses LEDs to indicate the output level rather than digits:

1. What you describe is a sample and hold circuit, just like what you'd find in the modular. The next problem you'll run into is how do you know when to sample/hold? You'll want to sample at the peak of the waveform. 2. I expect this has to do with the sample/update rate of the voltmeter you are usi...

I went searching for the TTA patent before we did IV cables, but came up empty handed. Agreed, although I was hoping for some news on the breakout for Chords. Still excited about all of the new tiles. The Chords expander for the Patch Chord (as seen to the left of the Patch Chord in the Magnum case) was next in the assembly queue when I was at the shop last. I am hoping they are done...

Oh man, all these questions about the things I decided not to explain. The DL-4 is one of Pulp Logic's many custom jobs. I brought it as a cool delay unit, and to show how the I/O interface pocket of Tiles could work. I don't think it's on the road map for a kit, but we do have some complimentary pr...

I spy a 1U ribbon controller tile??? Sorry to be misleading. There will be a Tile Ribbon (and many other user interface Tiles), but that should be considered more of a repackaged Pulp Logic Ribbon Eurorack module. That was the one taken from a Monotron. I built a little mixer using the CGS PCB, and it worked out fantastically! It fit perfectly into the "tile" rack on the Erthenvar lunchbox. Here's a picture of the finished "module." Next time, I have to remember to put tape on the edges that I'm going to hold with pliers. https://www.muffwiggler.c...

We do this jack with a longer bushing than normal. I call it 5mm, but when I get the calipers out it actually looks a hair shy. Here I have them next to some standard length parts, and with our vertical jack for comparison if you have some of those around: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix/1...

Just taking a look at the CS01 schematic which includes a breath controller circuit as well as the interface inside of the actual synth. Anyhow it looks like the breath controllers require -9V to operate. None of the Tiles provide this, so it would have to be a dedicated Tile. http://www.univertron....
