Re: 259r with unstable frequency

I will say that from recent personal experience.. that the Toppobrillo "Buchla format Mini-Bus" is an exceptionally clean switching (edited) power option. I have one setup in my system specifically for my VCO's (259 V2 & 258's V3). Rock solid tuning with damn near perfect scaling over 5-6 octaves. N...

Only in Buchla land can you sit down to test a module and oops I produced an album of material :D
:lolspew: :hihi: . . . Apparently so ;) Joking aside, it’s the very “acoustic” nature of the electronic sounds from a Buchla style system that I REALLY love! Cheers!!

Re: (Buchla-vid) Sound of a Broken Pinball Machine Going Down the Drain

Thanks friends! Yea I know, its just a blob of noise.. but it really just came alive with the 230. The timbral variety was epic, the tones could be re-patched into something melodic or evolving. Man I love patching!

Hope your day is awesome! - Adam

(Buchla-vid) Sound of a Broken Pinball Machine Going Down the Drain

"Sound of a Broken Pinball Machine Going Down the Drain" - Djangosfire DIY Buchla style 230 Patch I was testing a mod applied to a Buchla format 230 Triple Envelope Follower (a mod that cleans up the audio “clicks” from the LED’s flashing.. with Dave Brown's help... more on that later)... and I got ...

Cheers everyone, thank you for the great feedback! Thanx for sharing Adam :tu: I like this sequence. I never looked at the Serge quantizer. I see 2 x SELECT input on pictures of the module online, is the scale changed dynamicaly in this sequence? Or is this a combination of quantizer and vertical ou...

Re: Bucha 275r - noise culprit found?

I finally bought double shielded cables to run to the tank - my breakout panel never worked (which is pretty shit as I bought it at a premium direct from Roman) so I'm running direct from the rca outs on the module... can't say I'm getting much of an improvement though maybe a little. I'll test mor...

Yes indeed... this new firmware revision, along with Dave Brown’s amazing hardware mods, really make this module. I was BLOWN away with the module performance... HIGHLY recommend the MARF V2. Still a lot to explore, but I can’t wait to make music & share vids as time allows. Thank you so much to the...

Re: final 4-panel 200e system recommendations

I would venture to guess.. you will enjoy any of these combos! That being said, have you considered this combo: 259e, 266e, 281h, 292h, 206e Your get preset storage and awesome mixing/panning with the 206e. Personally, although the VCF in the 267e is nice (and I LOVE the S&H of the Random section), ...

I think that sounds really very cool!! Although I don’t have a 112/116 or 216 now.. that would sure make a great addition of functionality IMHO!

Re: Late night Sc-fi Easel (208p) patch - (VID)

Thank you Todd (vgernmuse) :) This video taught me a great trick that I hadn’t thought of yet! The inverter OUT is 13.5V when there is no input. A great way to push the MO up into audio range. I just finished building my 208p a couple months ago, and I still haven’t really calibrated it correctly, b...

Late night Sc-fi Easel (208p) patch - (VID)

Just finished building myself a 208p w/218 v2 (in a SaModular case) - Finished up calibration and patched up this little example. I took a break from patching & building past 2 years (to focus on my solo acoustic finger-style, delta-slide & blues guitar work) - With the “lockdown”... and all gigs wi...
